Jumped into comp again tonight. Did 4 games; 3 loss, 1 win taking me from Plat to Gold. All 4 games were easily the most toxic shit I've seen in this game, maybe in any fps game. Good thing I have fun in mystery heroes and quick play.

Lirik and crew played for 4ish hours and then got bored doing the same shit for no real reward. All of them said no way was this game worth $60, but any smart person knew that already.

I think you'd lose interest quickly no matter what. The progression is just cosmetic shit, it's a very shallow game. Fun to watch popular streamers play it since it just launched but I expect they'll mostly drop it within 1-2 weeks. Until Battle Royale is implemented.

Got to 25 yesterday and finished my 10 placement matches today. 7W/3L. Put me at 2557 SR which is apparently Platinum? I figured myself more of a potato Silver player, lol. Mostly did Junkrat for the placements.

Seems like only a small handful of heroes are used in OWL; is that representative of higher end competitive matches? Should I focus on getting better at the heroes in that group that I like?

Hm Against the Grain was the one we were crashing at too. Will give the integrity check a go. That's exactly how I play my Bardin on Recruit/Vet too, haha. Shield smash CC with axe/shield and shoot shot with pistols.

Dunno what changed but I've crashed 3 times today. First ones in 24 hours and only since the patch yesterday. Horrid timing; I just got 2 RL buddies to get the game and was trying to run stuff to show them the ropes. Every single game crashed within 10 mins of start.

I read the wiki summaries for all of them. They seem pretty strange and with an unsatisfying ending.
