    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

It's really dumb that nobody comes with you either. You talk to your companions and they all say they want to go through it if you do. Why can't I take anyone with me to whatever multiverse I end up in? And I always end up in a multiverse where like 3 pieces of the gate have been found but...

Yeah, the few scripted car shooting bits are fucking stupid on very hard. The final Johnny flashback chase is just RNG if you survive for more than 4 seconds to respond. They take you to 50% before you even get to shoot back at them.

It guarantees a crit, but it also has .5% quickhack damage per point in int (10% at 20 int). Someone was thinking the bonus quickhack damage is decimal point error'd and doing 5% per point in int (100%).

Eh, I did it just to learn the new system from the start and go look for any iconics I may have missed for whatever build I was planning. But the DLC is self contained and uses some of what you've already done quest wise for little interesting side moments in a couple of missions.

Eh, honestly, once you get a T5 COX-2 Cybersomatic Optimizer with some way to get health back, Heal-On-Kill, I stopped caring about anything. Hit Overclock, then just walk into the middle of a room with LoS on everything, pause time and just chain synapse burn on everybody. I don't care about...

I don't even know about the Gilchrist info. I must get it from just spam reading random laptops. I usually just off Royce because I want that free 10k monies. And then Meredith meets me outside. I know I've gotten Gilchrist instead once, but I honestly don't know how.

Armor feels fucking useless, and I don't even know how to even get it close to the "cap" you see on the right. I need to do some testing and remove all of my armor at level ~41 to see how much damage I take. And yeah, Mantis blades don't feel as good as the Katanas. Really disappointing since...

Why can I get dumb shit like 80% mitigation chance/90% mitigation using Kerenzikov cyberwear (and the other 2 related cyberwears) with ranged weapons, but with melee unless I'm full into cool and crouching, I'm stuck with the like 8% mitigation chance/60% mitigation from the one available...

At end game gear, sure. But early on it’s *dash, dash, get shot in the back go to 10hp, panic heal, swing and miss your enemy because world geometry, die to the first mob meleeing you while you mash heal and it is still in its animation while your slow time ability is on cooldown from 2 fights ago*

The worst part of this shit, is you have to reload the game. You're permanently stuck in a conversation mode.

Welp, I foresee being stuck on this intro boss for a bit. Not sure how I’ve built such an amazingly shit hacker, but I have. Everything is a two tap on this guy and I do no damage to him.

I’ve had an absolutely miserable experience with the smart sniper. It’s like it intentionally miss tracks. The smgs and handguns are fine. The assault rifle sprays wildly out of the barrel and is shit in closed spaces because of that.

The important parts from the Pirate faction are 2 modules, 1 increases lock on speed, and one increases shield regen I think.

I've spent 99% of my time with Andreja as my companion. Barrett kept bugging me to talk to him (well, all of the other companions did since they had "feelings" after every side faction quest completion) and triggered his star power side quest. I've never done any missions with him up to that...

I've also had to use elevators or zone change load screens about 8 times now to fix NPCs who were floating through the ceiling or dropping through the floor that I had to talk to. One of them required a reload of a previous save to get to a prior zone in order to reset him. You can't simply...

The Ranger on Neon does the walk and talk during the Freestar faction chain, and he's having his chat interrupted MID SENTENCE by him opening a loading door to the next zone if you don't physically block him or stop him so he can finish yapping. Did anyone test this fucking quest chain?

I think I liked Andreja more when she was autistic space slav. Her post commitment attitude change is... a bit over the top. I’m dumping my loot into your container (game’s term, not mine!) and you’re giving me pillow talk after a firefight before I’m about to get into another one. Time and...

The 4 layer puzzles are just so fucking exhausting. Since you can't tag keys with which layer you intend to use them on, in game, I've been doing it with the windows screenshot tool. But fuck me, I'm close to getting that lock picking mod as well.

The 4 primary ones are from the Constellation quest line as far as I know. Pretty quick to get them. Randos in bars with names have like 2 skills, npcs with just a "X specialization" only have 1 skill. I don't think these ones have any quests or real stories.

So then how are people getting these random space encounters if they're also fast travelling everywhere (because you cannot not fast travel)? Edit: is this what people are actually talking about? You can fast travel between explored points of interest, not getting in your ship and manually...

But my question is, how do I avoid fast travel and actually do missions/get the space "experience" if I'm traveling at 104m/s? I'll literally never get to my mission marker in my life time. How are people doing missions and not fast travelling? Is there more than 1 version of fast travel...

This is how fucked the UI and gameplay experience is... What is and isn't fast travel? If I just sit in space at full thrusters aiming towards my mission goal, I go literally nowhere. I do not understand what is and isn't fast travel.

Yeah, you have to actually play the game 3 times on the same save. NG++ has some new missions and requires prior completion of both endings in different runs.

I’m like 3 hours in and I already don’t know how to control anything. The shootout at the start, how do I swap weapons? Oh, I go into my inventory and fucking dig through 2 menus and then fumble with the tiny triangle identifying what I have equipped. Ok, fabled fucked my way into a pistol...
