Ah, so they are stretching each expansion over a two year time period each time. Sounds like a good plan to keep people occupied between expansions.

Sadly my brother is going to force me to play WoW Classic with him. I pretty much hate WoW these days, but it's the only thing that my brother and I have to do together now that we quit EverQuest (after a very unhealthy almost two decades of that cesspool).

Oh yeah definitely. The ending of 2.4 and then 2.5 were worth the grind through the post ARR content. I just got fatigued with the quest grind, but I am looking forward to seeing what transpires in these last 16 quests that make up 2.55 and lead in to Heavensward.
