Sometimes Ifrit Lava Plumes you 3 times in one turn and you just die. Had it happen to me in Pro (it takes me 2 turns to kill him) and it eviscerated everyone on my team except my Noctis. Took me completely by surprise.

ELT is absolutely ludicrous. Turn 1 I broke his Atk and Mag with Ling and used Omniveil to buff Fire resist... he managed to annihilate everyone on my team in a single turn, including my Noctis who had 130% Fire resist and 4.5k HP.

The Tactics sequels aren't bad though, they're great. They're not the same game as the original Tactics but they're still fantastic.

That was my plan, but he takes so much damage that first turn that I can never catch up, even with Refia's Curaja, Ling's Cura, and Noctis's Cover. Is it just me or is Gilgamesh's Zantetsuken not actually Earth damage? Even with Golem and Barstonra it's still doing crazy damage to Snow.

No, every person in the zone has a chance at a weapon. The boss drops a box for everyone that can contain a weapon when opened.

I might need a different strategy. I don't have Dualcast so Refia can't heal through all the damage Snow takes. It might be better just to have everyone take damage instead of him Provoking the whole time.

The original Diadem did not have weapons. The original Diadem gear was the same iLevel as Gordias Savage, but the cap on the secondary stats was much higher, making Diadem pieces BiS.

Remember, this is the 2nd time they've done this. (When Diadem came out, the gear it dropped was better than Gordias Savage which was endgame content at the time.) And you can bet they'll do it again next expansion.

Yeah Bladeblitz is good, but Leon's Phantom is special because it actually hits twice, so you could theoretically do 999 x2 without Dual Wield or 999 x4 with Dual Wield.
