Good thing none of those are on the server. Maybe in the distant future? But if they are, then I bet they get massive reworks.

AoE limits begin after 10 targets. If you're trying to "tank" more than that, get an off-tank.

Why would you say this? Pally and Druid tanks are a thing.

Also mobs have custom abilities that may screw up aoe'ing. Things like charge / stuns / interupts. Things that wouldn't be lethal 1v1 or in a group, but when there are 10 of them on you..... The devs have definitely got a severe dislike of the normal "exploitative" game play strategies.

Plus, even Blizzard admits that the 40-man raid dynamic was a failure. It's been 19 years since the last time they released a 40-man raid. (Naxxramas, 2006)

Too many people fighting over 5 drops. And the classic loot tables on each boss were stupid deep. Way too often guilds would never see certain drops at all.

Ascension devs are so slow to develop stuff that Blizzard might actually beat them to Classic+ releases.

The two big selling points for me are Classic+ (Vanilla WoW is just way too boring) and 25-man raids. 40-man raids are a complete no-go for me. Which is why I won't play on any of the current Blizzard Classic servers. I enjoyed SoD, but the slow role out of content just killed it for me...

Valanior is pretty dead too. But it has NPC companions that one-shot dungeon bosses (companions can only be used in instances) that allow you to solo 5-man content. So I'm enjoying it until Project Epoch releases. It think most people interested in private WoW servers are just waiting for PE...

They are either very useful (+60% movement speed if not in combat and moving for x-seconds) or they are useful passives (causing renew to trigger prayer of mending). None of them feel "required" but when you get a choice out of 3 every level, they all feel satisfying.

I may have my timeline off, but I seem to remember Paladin tanks coming into their own in TBC. Then feral tanks were a thing in WotLK

The rune system is unique and fun. They are useful without overpowering your character.

Took a little bit to figure out how to patch their client, but finally got a character made and logged in without getting the Version Out Of Date message. Looked at the clock again and it says 3:00am. Server is legit.

Priest is my favorite class by far. I've had other alts, but Priest is home. Probably go UD Priest.

I've done Human Priest in Vanilla - WotLK, Classic, SoD, and Hardcore. Don't think I can bring myself to do it again. Probably rolling Horde this time.

I would have preferred to see the 40-mans get knocked down to 20, but 25 is acceptable. Still going to be worth playing seeing as how Blizzard's version is going to be over a year out at least, assuming they make an announcement at Gamescom in August. If they wait to announce until Blizzcon...
