memu works fine most of the time for me. it only closes to desktop if it's been farming TMs all night and i try to summon a new character. my 'fix' is to summon on my phone, or summon a basic, friend point character 1st.

if you refresh one of the map sites, you can find one snorlax a day fairly easily. i have terrible luck in catching them though.
