Yeah, back when I played it, it was still a bit bare bones. I think they need a PC specific UI, though. It's kind of weird using the same UI as the tablets to play on PC.

What would you reccomend they change to make it better, then? Not to say you're wrong, there's a lot of dodging and shit. But what do you think they could do to fix those issues? By the way guys, I thought I'd mentioned, but Gamestop has the release date listed as 7/02/14. So the beta might...

Hrm, I've found the combat to be pretty fun. Yeah, it could use some more depth. But it's responsive, and definitely enjoyable. But that's just me I guess.

So I watched a video of this. When you're in the over world view, can you see other people? I'm not really sure if this game is an MMO, or more of a Diablo II style game in it's way of doing online.

At gamestop, the release date is set as 7/02/14. Not sure if that's set in stone.

So far most quests just seem like "go here, click this" or "go here, kill five of these" so far. I hope they get a bit better the higher you get (I'm level 11 at the moment), so I'll reserve judgement. It's pretty polished considering it's in beta phase. Just some broken quests and UI stuff...

This is pretty much every MMO in existence, though. I'm okay with another WoW with better combat and shit. My BIGGEST gripe with most recent MMOs is that they lack raid content. Wildstar seems to be going for raid content at launch, so I'm okay with this.

Yeah, which is fine. But I more or less meant the combat and what not. What they have is cool, but I think they could do a lot more to make it even better. It's responsive, though, and pretty fun. Their level up pop up is the best thing ever.

Would be cool if someone made an open source MMO engine, where people can make their own story, spells, and what not, and just build a world around it. Something simple to use. That $5,000,000 is a cool idea, but it will likely never happen.

Vanguard's classes were really fucking good, though. Blood Mage master race represent.

So far I feel like the core of the game is pretty sound, and can be built on. I'm worried that they'll try to rush this out of the door, though. Quests are hit and miss. They really should get more creative with those.

Only reasonable fat athletes are sumo wrestlers. But under the fat, those guys are jacked as fuck IIRC. I don't get it all though. I'm fat, and I know it's unhealthy. I don't make excuses for that shit.

Kind of wish SOE would release Vanguard for other people to run emulator servers. Maybe someone could make the game proper.

I think the combat is fun, really. It's some of the most smooth and reactive in terms of the more twitchier MMOS I've played. The double jump is a nice touch as well. And yeah, I'm sad that the realms are down right now. Was going to try out Dominion.

Haven & Hearth is basically a game where you start out with nothing, make yourself cloths and shit, maybe even a small settlement, and then get raped by Russians. It's the most hardcore and infuriating little MMO I've ever played. It just seems like ArchAge is trying for some of the same...

Same here, my hopes pretty much lie in this, Camelot Unchained, Shroud of the Avatar, and Project Gorgon. It sucks, but everyone wants to be WoW. These are the only games I know of going in a different direction.

I'm probably going to get it, but the quests and what not that I've played so far were kind of boring. I guess that could be because I'm still in the newbie areas, hopefully they get better. The big question is if the raid content is any good, or even if there is raid content... Will it be...

Sad to see that people aren't happy with the game right now. I had such hopes for it. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Brad should talk to the Project Gorgon guys. They're also making an old school MMO, though they have a bit to show for it. Just had a big graphics upgrade actually. And I think anyone can try out the pre-alpha now. If I remember right, they're actually old programmers from Asheron's Call.
