This is a good point. The legacy dungeons are crazy good but they’re taxing, a palette cleanser was needed to be able to keep playing constantly. Otherwise I’d have gotten fatigued, that happened in every other FromSoft game. I’d reach a new scary area and just quit for a couple days, was exhausted.

I got him 2 attempts later, 6-7 total. Did rot cheese him though. Malenia took me 4-5 attempts, Mohg in 3-4. I attribute that to my fat-boy poise/guard build.

Yeah I'd say EQ was the Elden Ring of MMO's, but WoW has always been hand-holdy and theme-parky. We even commented on it back in 2004 when it came out, comparing it negatively to EQ. It was fun, but it was no FromSoft game.

I think I killed him on the third try, pretty sure cheese-rot-breath was key. After using that on Radahn, I've been using it on pretty much every boss (couldn't get it to stick on certain ones like Valiant Gargoyle), and it's been hilariously effective.

I don't think this is a thing. I'm fairly sure it's 100% a function of the Guard Boost stat.

So, leveling and defense power: I'm not sure how this all works. But it seems to me that whatever this "defense power" stat is must increase your survivability a good bit. Which means simply leveling will make you more powerful, no matter what you put your stat point(s) into. Some or all of...
