    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

not sure if this is a subset or superset of that link but here's what I've been using: I think an outpost's starport has everything I want, since I'm not using those giant pieces that are only available at manufacturers. I'm not super high level tho

I could imagine Microsoft buying Unity Engine and considering it a toolset of C# development.

I wondered about that and what would happen if you stake asterion.

I have sympathy for them because the mobile games that are least predatory are most impacted. This encourages mobile game devs to increase their $/install even if it decreases the number of installs (aka users). So they are motivating more ads and ingame purchases even if it drops the total...

Not to my knowledge. I wouldn't be surprised if those are generated when a cell is loaded. I know the terrain on a planet is deterministic, but the POIs aren't.

Yeah the risk vs complexity vs reward for just selling guns is way out of proportion to other gameplay modes. In my opinion the most lucrative options should be setting up a profitable outpost and stealing ships, followed by high-production value mission lines (ex: Crimson/UC Sysdef), followed...

No respec is kinda lame, but understandable given that much of the skill tree unlocks research or outposts options. I wouldn't trust Bethesda to have a respec that would delete outposts or remove researched items. I went hard on outposts and research and am pretty sure that's not advised, the...

Yep. This guy has a F2p game with 100 million yearly downloads and a net revenue of 1 million USD, this rule would take 108% of his revenue.

Yeah thinking about my response a little more, this is probably the 40th CRPGish game I've played and the fourth Baldur's Gate Game I've played. I can imagine it being overwhelming for someone whose personal life hasn't either been spent playing a game or wishing they were playing a game.

The ship combat and space exploration is my #1 disappointment with the game. What's promising is that the ship combat mechanics aren't terrible once you git gud, it's just the design of the space parts don't support the kind of "Space Combat/Exploration: Bethesda Edition" gameplay mode we...

I got a 500 credit UC bounty for God knows why last night. I entered UC space and was challenged, I hit the "Get Up" button and watched my character get out of their chair like a three toed sloth while the UC ships were sending me increasingly threatening warnings. By the time I could sit back...

If you stacked gear that improves Spell Cast DC, I wonder if you'd be basically unresistable. Especially with this dagger. https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Rhapsody

I saw an NPC do that one time. They moved a couple guys together then threw a health pot. I was really surprised when it happened. I doubt they'll patch it.

That is quite a fucking outpost. I'm guessing that's Linnaeus IV-b, what kind of farmable plants/animals are on that planet? After making a mega outpost I think going too hard on outpost selection isn't advised. With some mods (specifically increasing the max outpost size, max Cargo Links, etc)...

I'd only want to see them move ES6 to UE5 if it was semi-open and modable in the Unreal Editor (Or likely a new "Creation Kit" built on the Unreal Editor). This should be totally feasible with custom plugins and a custom engine. The value in BGS is the complete game that serves as a platform for...

Agree on UE5. I wonder what portion of development is spent on trying to build a world-class gaming engine while Unreal Engine 5 is just pulling away from everyone while spending an order of magnitude more on their engine than is spent on most AAA games.

Would be cool if there were four basic tiers of factions: * UC: super strict, requires ship registration, licensing / dock fees etc for landing. Has access to unique tech. * Freestar: Less strict, requires ship registration for landing, but not licensing * Unaffiliated: Generally lawless, does...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

That's the part that sucks. I have a handful of outposts off-world supplying resources like copper, tungsten, lubricant etc, and I can link them to my Cargo Link, get a shipment of hundreds of those and am set for the rest of the game with them. But then there are ~60 other resources to worry...
