Tried to binge this over the weekend based on RR recommendations, wife got bored and we could not make it out of the first few episodes, ended up watching prison break instead (how did I miss this one!) When does this show start to rock and am I going to miss much if I FF to that part?

Your not wrong, but I did enjoy that episode more than recent ones. bad news or good news, looks like prison break is getting a 5th session and shooting starts in April. I wonder if we will lose Miller and Purcell from this show, which IMO would kill it.

Have you read Ian M Banks yet? I also really enjoyed the "mote in gods eye" series by Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle which I consumed shortly after Hyperion.

They were great when they started, now they are pretty dull and no longer worth the wait. I decided after deadpool I was done with after credit scenes in the theater.
