Meh, why is it sad to hear? Game was mediocre at best and a waste of the Legacy of Kain world.

There's even some (anecdotal) evidence that points to there being some kind of integer overflow with scavenging, where any values over 100% wrap back around to single didgits.

    Tom Clancy's The Division

People with the constant green shimmer are using the replenishment or whatever it's called talent on high end masks that heals for 2% of max health every second while under a CC effect. Because the game is a broken mess this lasts until you die/zone if you flashbang yourself, so free constant...

The motherboard is the cheapest krait I could find, as to my understanding any of the AM3+ boards that aren't krait don't fully support win8/10 and uefi etc? I'm no expert on AMD anything though, only looking at it cause it's the cheapest there is. Speaking of the 8350 though, microcenter by me...

    Tom Clancy's The Division

Yea I gave up and settled for crit chance/armor shred/accuracy cause I sick to death of rolling them. Talents on high end items are really shittily designed across the entire spectrum, not just on weapons though. How many slots have a usable item talent on them, not counting bugged shit like...

    Tom Clancy's The Division

Yea I never bothered with any of the sploit farms either. Just running a few challenge modes every night was more than enough to get me to the top of the gear pile, though I still lack a high end M4 cause Hornet is a stingy cunt and I can't be arsed to finish my DZ to 50.

I've got an old GTX 770 I can give him to use for a GPU which will help a ton, as all the GPUs I'm seeing in his price range are mostly bollocks. The logistical issue is he's in New Orleans and I'm in Chicago, so I can't really assemble any of it for him, but he's confident him and his friend...

Anyone familiar at all with building for ultra low budgets? My nephew has 400$ to spend and wants to get in to PC gaming, but I don't even know where to start with that kind of budget. There anyplace to buy Windows that won't be 1/4th of his budget?

You should be fine, just run smart cover cause likely all of the rest of your team will probably be on scan.

    Enter the Gungeon

You don't have to beat it to unlock co-op, it's available from the start. The co-op isn't perfect, but it ain't bad. Player 2 doesn't get to pick their character, they are always the same little purple robed dude, and they start with a shitty nerf pistol but can pick up other guns same as...

    Tom Clancy's The Division

Incursions are not going to be hard at all. Thus far the devs seem willfully ignorant of the various bugged/exploitable skills that exist. I guarantee you incursions will be a joke with people stacking trapped cover and abusing gear talents (reckless, recovery etc). They also seem to just be...

It's definitely far harder than Isaac in a purely twitch sense. Not quite as rapey as Nuclear Throne, but definitely up there. It does share a lot with Isaac in terms of strategy/resource conservation though. I think it'll get easier for people once everyone figures out the secret room...

    Tom Clancy's The Division

Gathering mats from the nodes in the PvE area wasn't worth the time under the old crafting system, so unless they increase what they put out 10 fold it'll be an even less attractive option. Really not sure where they are going with this. DZ stash size of 30 means 2.5 filled stashes worth of...

    Enter the Gungeon

Guns are definitely not all created equal. Usually you wind up having a few burner guns that you use to clear rooms, while saving 1-2 of your better weapons for bosses. The starter weapon for all the chars really can't keep up by like floor 3, so having a lot of middling-tier guns available is...

    Enter the Gungeon

Much closer to Nuclear Throne. You can play with a gamepad, and it gives you an aim assist when you do, but I'm kinda torn still. Game pad is obviously way more comfortable, but even with the assist it feels like you lose a lot of precision compared to using the mouse.

    Tom Clancy's The Division

Only way it makes sense is if incursions and their supply drops are going to pay out multiple high end items per run (ie, like 4+) or they otherwise shit out dozens of crafting mats. I cannot imagine the loot pinatas being large enough to compensate for this though, going from 20 purple items to...

    Tom Clancy's The Division

This kills the game if it goes live. Unless the supply drops they are talking about are shitting out MASSIVE amounts of high end items the player base is going to vanish nearly instantly once that hits. 1500 green items worth of mats to craft one high end, are they out of their fucking minds?

I'll be the first to parrot the obvious "now is a shit time to buy a gpu pascal is around the corner" line. Tom Clancy's The Division

Reposting from earlier: grind the united nations mission on hard until you're kitted in full purples, it's like minimum 8 per run and it's stupid easy even with poverty gear. Then move on to the tunnel mission on challenging, you'll be grinding this for a while. Somewhere around like 100-120k...

It's mostly a gear thing, yea. In Lincoln there's no runners, only the melee chumps, and no heavies either, so it's far easier for fresh 30s and ungeared people to just flail through it. You get relatively safe positions for all the fights as well so you can take as long as you need to pick...

I got to play this a bunch at PAX last year, and even the build from back then was a blast to play. Really looking forward to this. I do kind of wish it had better multiplayer, as it mostly uses the Isaac system where P2 steals a life from P1 and spawns in as a one health guy with a shitty...

He Never Died - with Henry Rollins

Him just straight up telling her is the problem, it just feels far too direct. It's like he's not telling her, he's telling the audience, just in case they had somehow not already figured it out/assumed.

DZ can be fun, but seems the last few days the hacker population has just exploded. Maybe it was just a run of bad luck, but since like wednesday going up to DZ6 is just instant death from 100+ meters, people teleporting to all the division tech crates, etc.

A single 970 cannot run everything "nicely" at 1440p. Even a 980ti dips below 60 on the division/witcher 3 at max settings and 1440p.

He Never Died - with Henry Rollins

This was actually pretty fucking awesome. They went a tad heavy handed with the Cain stuff, felt like it would have worked better if it was more understated/implied rather than just, you know, saying it. Also putting it in the trailer is a shit idea.

    Tom Clancy's The Division

I finally got around to testing that trapped cover mod and can confirm, it's fucked and works backwards. My scan with the increased damage vs scanned targets produces M4 headshots of about 350-380k depending on what you're shooting. Using cover + trapped M4 headshots are in the 420-450k range...
