Quest exp has been nerfed several times over the years. It's pretty bad in general.

I prefer Ultimatum mechanically but in Ritual there was always some map fragments or currency to buy. I ended up with a big pile of scarabs and other bits of map fragments/currency and really liked having a bunch of glitter to mess around with. This league I just have less of everything.

I'm a shitter and watching guides on YouTube helped me quite. It made a real difference being able to see all the mechanics and audio queues with some explanation as to what is going on.

If you aren't doing the Magician/Enchanter/Cleric start for the quick level 50s than while leveling you would want to consider areas with the most number of mobs with the Rare tag. For example I would think Kerra over by Tox would be pretty decent. It has a ton of rares with spawn locations...

Free trade means almost nothing on the server is No Drop. Almost everything in the game will be tradeable outside of a couple specific quest items and epics.

The Burning Crusade pre patch launches pretty soon(tm) with TBC on the way. They really had to do something and it is nice that they did.

The Ultimatums shit out some really good stuff during the entire story section of the game.

There's speculation that the WoW Burning Crusade prepatch is coming up fairly soon. Getting something out before people start leveling their space goats and blood elves probably makes sense I guess. Launching during the Burning Crusade prepatch or after TBC is just live can't be the right answer.

Start in Kunark, 2 months 2 months 2 months 2 months is something closer to what I would like to see. I wish there was more effort to get people to experience the expansions after the Planes of Power.

I can see the idea behind the potion (also dollars) but it may make Plane of Tranquility the lag fuck zone. If there has to be a shit zone it would be much better for that to be Knowledge than the zone connected to the entire expansion's raiding. Tranquility crashing or generally being unusable...

I play on Aradune. I don't read the official forums. I've played on several prior TLPs. I'm not interested in getting out a measuring stick every time a conversation is taking place and have no desire in driving the conversation in that direction. We're just some people talking about some things.

I don't know and don't care what the prevailing opinions are on the official forums. I don't spend any time there unless it's to check out patch notes or some new announcement.
