I pretty much use allied seals for all my port tickets and ventures for retainers. Mainly because they have refused to bump the centuro seal cap above 1k but you can stock up 4k allied before you cap out.

Also something I like, and in VII at least, every new vehicle actually opened up meaningful progression. For a game like IX though, while new vehicles (or Chocobo being able to cross different stuff), I felt game really lost steam after the initial continent.

Just going off anyone I've ever talked to and everything I've ever read online about the game, you're in the minority. Midgar always blew me away and was something that while it was cool to get into the overworld, I always wished there was even more to explore of Midgar.

It's pretty clear even from the trailer they're adding more to it, though (the story I mean). If Midgar is really taking up that much space, I can only assume they're going to add quite a bit. I don't see the point in waiting even more time for it if I want to play part 1 as soon as it comes out.

Do you mean they meant that BG 3 takes place 100 years after BG 1? BG 1 was like 1368 in FR timeline, the last "current" year for the FR timeline was like 1491 so that would be a bit more than 100 years but ~75 years short of 200 year gap.
