Pokemans and how to catch them with your phone - friend codes in OP

What I'm saying is that some people cheating don't do that. I actually don't think it's that legitimate of a reason. People without city-life privilege shouldn't replace their game experience with a really subpar one. Instead they should wait until later. However, a_skeleton_03 and other...

I think this is too aggressive. People who cheat either by driving/gps spoofing are only really deserving of shame if: 1. They build up super tough pokemon via cheating then roll over gyms. 2. They're not enjoying it and quit the game when they might have enjoyed it otherwise. Personally...

Decided to take advantage of a day off (had to meet plumber) and took my wife and toddler downtown Ann Arbor to roll deep in pokestops, which I need to collect to build up enough great balls to catch pokemon at higher levels. Half hour through trip, kid is inconsolably crying. Wife's pokemon...

I ran into a pidgeot that was so damn far I could barely hit it if I swiped my hardest. Afterward I switched to this method (use AR, rotate phone down, point it diagonally at pokemon, then swipe diagonally) I think it's easier to control but not sure yet. It's impossible to do a one handed swipe...

when you fight (aka train) at a same-team gym it levels up. When it levels up more people can put pokemon in it. So if you see a level 1 gym, just go train once and chuck a pokemon in it.

I wonder how they detect it. The ideas I had were: 1. Looking for ridiculous and obvious teleport behavior. 2. Look for suspicious looking GPS locations. Ex: if you spoofed your GPS and your location was steady with changing timestamps it'd be just as obvious as if you teleported to Manhattan...

You're right, they're not random. I don't know much about ingress but it seems driven by the XM Pool which is based on cell usage, no? I'm just saying that if they use user-feedback and tweak the locations around it might be better. Ex: It'd be better if the pokestop near me is in the park...

Cool. How confident are you that the gym wasn't there before? How many times did you visit that area before it spawned? I'm glad to hear they're tweaking things. The locations of the pokestops definitely seem randomly generated and tweaking and changing the location would improve it...

Up to you, but if you're trying to be efficient it's best to hit the soft cap of level 20, then save your stardust for high CP pokemon you catch. The CP of pokemon you catch is highly dependent on trainer level.

This isn't a game you're supposed to play seriously. There's a few intentional modalities that are very enjoyable if you pursue them. 1. Walking around different locations catching pokebros. 2. Walking with a group of people smashing gyms. If you're trying to be the best you had better...

I couldn't figure out how to see xm pools in the intel map and can't figure out how to run the desktop version of iitc. This is especially true at higher levels where you need great / master balls to catch stuff. If you're not around a dense pokestop area you'll run out of balls very quickly.

yeah this is inevitable and was done as soon as the game came out. Here's to hoping they aggressively ban cheaters. This game would be extremely easy to bot, and someone running a bot would become godly.

Yeah I did the same thing wrt gyms which are the only way to earn pokebucks. The theory crafting I did is that you have to get your group of people, then blitz through as many gyms as you can in a circuit then collect the rewards. Maybe you can peak at ~5 gyms before you run out of gyms...

Good luck holding multiple gyms for any length of time. Even if you were in the top 0.01% of pokemon players and put a hard pipe hittin' pokey in the gym it'll be rolled over by the next group of people coming your way. The gym heavily favors attackers by letting attackers 6v1 for level 1...

This is the second game I've played and the first, Fallout shelter, I eventually just instaled on my PC through an emulator. While this is silly to say, the mechanics of playing PoGo on a mobile device are much superior than trying with a laptop or PC.
