In general I'd say for the easy mode, you can't go wrong with Druid as your healer and Blademasters(1 or 2). Avoid the ranged classes, or at least avoid using them as ranged, they're pretty decent melees though and especially the orc one has a cool ability. Defender and Merc are fairly poopy...

Toughness is EHP with armor/resists/health factored. For individual resists, I believe the toughness formula just averages all your resists.

You can find upgrades though, even though with really good gear like 1billion stuff, it won't be that often. There's some really strong weapons though in the new legendaries so these tend to be upgraded, and slots that were kinda so so like shoulders you can also find upgrades. Leveling a DH...

Depends on the hero, the scaling seems kinda off for some of them. I think part of it is due to Power being % based as a whole factor for everything. In LoL, AP(and AD) have individual ratios on every skills to some skills have a strong base but shit scaling, some have good scaling but shit base...
