I've been complaining for years that there was no fast food chicken place in my town so I was pretty excited when KFC opened up like 6 months ago. I think I've only been there 4 times. I don't think it's bad, but it's not very compelling. I think their wings are pretty good and the chicken...

Fair enough. He's also sort of the first one of those guys I remember. Some of Steve Young's crazy runs were while he was backing up Montana and I think by the time he was a starter he was already on the way to being a competent pocket passer. I wasn't watching football enough during Vick's...

It happens over and over. Put a super athlete at QB, they blow the league apart for a year, and then the defenses play them so they have to read the field and pass and most of them can't do it. Vick, Kapernick, RG3, and a ton of others. Even Cam to some extent although he had a couple good...

Pouring concrete isn't rocket science, but it's not trivial either and fairly high consequence if you fuck it up and wind up having to jackhammer it out of there. That said, a small pad is definitely doable for a DIYer, especially if you are okay with things not being completely perfect. The...

Spacex has such a huge advantage by having such a low cost to deploy the satellites it's hard to see how other projects can compete. Okay, but there are thousands of lanes and they are all 50 miles wide. I see according to Wikipedia that it has actually happened 4 times, but the amount of objects and the amount of space seems to make it pretty unlikely. It's mostly that the consequence are high I suppose, especially since we...

I'm just a dumb guy, but it doesn't seem like it should be that hard to avoid collisions in space. I mean Los Angeles is only 5000 square miles has 6.5 million cars that can only drive on like 10% of the land and only move in two dimensions and they seem to be able to avoid each other most of...

    Woodworking

This is a project I did for my 3 year old nephew a few months back. I seriously underestimated the difficulty of making those angled mortise and tenon joints. A router wasn't really an option because of the angles so I made them with a chisel and had to make almost every piece more than once...

I wonder too. Good Jimmy does exist and we saw him in the first half of the Eagles game this year until he sprained his ankle. Didn't see him before that though and we sure haven't seen him since but that could be chalked up to the ankle not being fully healed. With regard to the contract...

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

I'm already in BFE Montana and signed up for the beta but haven't gotten an invite. If it was reliable I would dump my current Viasat internet and my DirecTV and it would save me over $100 a month and dramatically improve my service. The only thing I would have to figure out is football.

It's not 10 gauge, it's 1/4", which is twice as thick as 10 gauge. With regard to the competition cart, I agree it looks cool, but the standard wheels are actually very good too. Much better than the ones on my Weber gas grill. I haven't had any issues moving mine, even on grass.

The main thing you're getting with the Yoder is more steel. The YS640 is made out of 1/4" steel. That's 4 times thicker than a 16 gauge Traeger. It's going to last forever and it will hold temperature better than a cheaper brand. Also made in the US if you care about that. My first cook with...

I don't really think that's all that unusual. The female fitting that your shower arm threads into (the pipe that goes through the wall) should be screwed to something, but if it's not accessible then some caulk might be your best option. It won't last forever but it might be preferable to...
