I don’t know if there’s guild restrictions for HC, but you can only group together or trade with other HC who are +-5 levels than you I believe is the range. I believe mail and AH are disabled entirely for you.

I'm only like level 30ish, but it certainly already feels a shitload better than normal classic. Shaman also get a new racial at level 40? Sadly my Tauren doesn't get the cool doggies, just orcs. :( Tauren do get SLT, though, which is pretty neat.
