What makes the hatchet so fucking op is the talent that makes you do something like 10% more damage for every enemy within 5 meters. Walk into camp pull a bunch together by throwing the axe and mow them down like a machine.

Discovery is most def not lost on this game. For one its not data mined, and most plebs are still int heir 30s so the entire end game is all discovery. in the 50s there is barely any people in the zones yet. Based on ly steam achievements thing, only 4.1% ever got to 50 yet.

Honestly leveling up a weapon in the wild to 10 is trivial, especially in the higher 40+ levels. Its the remaining 10 levels that are the bitch. Plus when youre in the wild you get to figure out how the shit works. Not so much at boars. I was there and after like 15 min I was bored out of my mind.

In a group? sure, whatevs, but for solo type shit which I do 90% of the time hatchet is IMO best pve weapon, and holds its own in pvp as well for dps flanking and complements my great axe.
