    The Fast Food Thread

It doesn't make any sense to me that something with artificial flavoring and other ingredients to make it taste like "something" can somehow be the dietary equivalent of water at 0 calories. Seems like bullshit marketing wizardry. I also don't understand how people find themselves in a...

    Home buying thread

Appraised value *always* being lower than sale price is a good indication the market is inflated. People tend to have very short memories when it comes to real estate so I'd take what people tell you about appraisal vs sale price with a grain of salt.

    Narcos

So, least for me, they edited Carlos Salinas de Gortari's name out of the show. They bleep it out whenever a character speaks it and it's blank text in the subtitles. This season is good, I didn't like the beginning of Mexico S1 but it came around in the end and this one is becoming as good as...

    Investing General Discussion

That's an interesting take. The idea of the USD becoming worthless has ramifications far greater and much worse than just having unrealized gains or losses in the various markets.

Especially since they removed the skips that made it much less painful in WoD/Legion. Another shitty change that doesn't make any sense.

And titles and achievements... is that really pay to "win"? It may cheapen the title a bit but WoW has long since lost that kind of illustrious conqueror aspect of itself. I guess that's really why none of this bothers me in the least. That title doesn't really mean anything and all the gear you...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Yea, you can do that no matter what. You can do that with in game gold you earned playing the game without ever buying a WoW token. You can do that by being friends with and buying beer for people in a raiding guild.

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

The inclusion of the WoW token is something I think that has been very positively received by most players, myself included. So while it adds the possibility that players can use real money to buy a token, sell the token on the AH, and then use the proceeds to buy in game services it also allows...

When I think of p2w I think of cash shops selling stuff that increase power or are mandatory to success for real money, or even worse, boosts and other things that affect gameplay that you can only get from said cash shop. That's the kind of thing that ruins game economies and sucks all of the...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

You can pay to win if you want. And you always have been able to, like xzi said. That doesn't make these communities "pay to win" communities. Shit a lot of items in Everquest were tradeable and could be sold on eBay. Guess EQ was pay to win too.
  20. Khane

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

That auction house analogy falls real flat. You can do better than that. It isn't pay to win. And like I said these services existed long before Blizzard ever created the WoW token. The sudden inclusion of the WoW token doesn't immediately make WoW a pay to win game. And if the WoW token was...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

See above. Also, with a true pay to win model a la a cash shop there is an infinite amount of rewards that can be purchased. The only limiting factor is the amount of people willing to spend real money in the cash shop. These boosting communities have a finite number of guilds/players able to...

    World of Warcraft: Classic

Not to belittle the achievement, but Classic WoW raiding is incredibly easy. Except for maybe Naxx, but we'll see when it releases if it's as ball breakingly hard as it was back in vanilla. I kind of wish MMOs went back to that model of raiding, where it's a minor challenge but it's kind of...

There have been way more than 2 expansions with daily required wizard chores. World Quests just gave you more options in your dailies and less travel time. A tournament realm for the world first race would be beneficial to the rest of the playerbase. And to echo the 10 man raid size. That was the best version of raiding in any game I've ever played. Well 1 per day is half of the low end of the recommended dosage so... 4 sounds like it would probably still be fine just based on the fact that we live in a litigious country and I doubt they'd recommend a dosage that was even close to a toxic level.

Well, the "daily recommended" levels are based on what is essentially junk science. Just look at the food pyramid. I think the problem would be not getting any potassium at all. The gatorade powders do indeed have potassium though. So that should help him in theory.

Aren't leg cramps/pains often associated with a lack of potassium? I think the gatorade powders have all the major electrolytes, potassium included. So it makes sense it would help.
