It's definitely gotten to the point where the show suffers anytime Richard is on screen. Everyone else is fucking gold. Richard sucks and has not grown as a character at all in 5 seasons.

There are so many free or inexpensive tools to use to teach yourself coding these days that it's probably the cheapest possible career switch that exists. There are no guarantees when it comes to finding a good, secure job (as is the case in most careers) but you can teach yourself for pennies...
