So started my real mini painting this weekend. The demon was quite large and easier to start on. Base coat and wash done on 1 of 3 guys. Still learning how to thin the paint correctly and how much to load in the brush, managed to delete a few skull/seal details. Highlighting to go on this one...

Yea the pcitures make it worse but it is pretty much a yellow basecoat. Trying your technique now, tiny eyes and shaky hands though. :p

Yea those look awesome. I only did white base and yellow layer but can continue to add a few more layers in there. Could always smash some red over it and try it your way. Was kinda a quick way to make them glowy, almost left them black.

I did most of the highlighting with dry brushin the same color on the "nuln oiled" base coat, the skin looks awesome in person, not so much in the picture on the PC. Will revisit the cloth/chainmail or whatever it is and see if I can improve it later.

Thanks, yea the cloth is the part I feel is unfinished. I was going to revisit it but forgot. :p The colors came out kinda crap in the phot now that I compare. Might post a better one later with proper lighting. Edit: Looks okay on the phone but crap on the pc monitor. Probably my color settings.

I was going to copy someone else's painting scheme but could not find any so I decided to just go at it. I'm mighty proud on how it ended up! Without blasting camera settings to white it out.

Are "Space Marines" grunts just general models that you then paint different colors depending on what "faction" you want them to be? If I go into say Ultra Marine category they just show the "named/boss" guys. Trying to get a hang on how this all works.

Whats your exposure time and layer height? I think mines set to 2.5 seconds and still 0.05, can it improve prints with lower/higher setting? Not sure how low the elegoo can go in layer height. Will add time though I guess.

Printed a "boss" unit from the same pack as the skeleton guy. Took probably 22h total with all the pieces. But he came out real good off the printer. Azael the Pit Lord. Not fully glue so had to prop him up.

Not sure how that is measured. The whole figure is around 50mm from base to head. Edit: Seems Archvillain Games says they should be 32mm figures.

Yea it came out allright, the teeth kinda went missing compared to the CGI reference picture. It's so tiny though I'm not surprised. I think I might scale them up 50% or something in the future. Easier to paint as well. Will check myminifactory. I think I spotted a female demon hunter there...

Printed my first mini just now. Demonskull unit from Archvillain Games. No primer or paint on him, just the grey resin he was printed on. Looked way bigger in chitubox but he is quite tiny.

I was prepared for a few fails of them not sticking but seems I was lucky it just worked. Saw you could use a dry oil on the bottom so it does not sick there. Printing a smaller unit now but the one I really want will take 6.5 hours and no wings included in that. The WH sized one I'm doing now...

Yea will probably be just that. :o I just wanted a big model that did not cost a fortune. Lots of out of stock and expensive stuff. And Citadel washes seems to be a good thing to buy. Are glaze the same as washes? All new words to me as I have just used normal paints so far.
