It is not great. Nothing like the original, it is pure metroidvania but not really in the good ways. $4.50 is probably worth it for a playthrough, but not over something like Ori, Axiom Verge, or Elysium.

Yeah if you approached this movie like Pacific Rim you were likely very well entertained. If you caught the original in that 'magic' phase of your life and approached this movie as the spiritual successor to that, chances are you hated it.

Not sure how similar it is but Valiant Hearts was a pretty good war-centric game. Think it was free on PS Plus at one point so will maybe see discounts on Steam.

That was my feeling too. Haven't played a Battlefield, CoD, or anything like that since some of the originals, so reskin doesn't mean anything to me either. If it is 75% of what they showed in the trailer and game modes in other locations are as interesting, looks like it'll be great.

Oh for sure, it sounds kind of dumb to me but they have to include their Brands in the language for marketing purposes. Otherwise they could just say "Microsoft Exclusive" or something similar and it would actually sound exclusive but still be on different platforms. No. 14
