It’s because part of the “fun” of old school EQ was letting people feel accomplished by spending inordinate and frankly unhealthy amounts of time devoted to the game.

I don’t even dislike the game I just think it could be better if the Devs didn’t try to add further tedium on top of what was already a tedious game and I think it’s hilarious how any suggestion gets met with “maybe it’s just not FOR you bruh!”

I agree with you 100% The argument they make is they want you to "think" about what you do and don't want to loot. Alternative solution is use /hidecorpse looted or have a /hidecorpse all current macro

I get it a little bit. It’s definitely different with EQs map that is very geometric and places a marker where you character is, but I think if you had a somewhat similar system but let players sell in game maps that were styled better / more thematic and didn’t have your personal location on...
