No they can't. But when a supermax deal is on the table, you sign it and make the money now. He can bounce in 4-5 years, still be in his prime, and then go ring shopping.

Giants don't have to worry about cut-down days. Their players are just quitting for them.
Sour grapes losers who know their meal ticket is leaving for the SEC in 4 years or less. Sucks to be them and whatever 3rd rate conference they wind up begging to get into.
It will be different types of recruits. The defensive recruits SEC teams get dwarf the talent pool in the Big 12. Just ask @OU Ariakas or @LiquidDeath about the fantastic defensive implosions OU has had over the years playing OOC schools.
Even if they're in a different pod, they still have to play UT twice in 3 years. They're just being fucking children at this point if they are putting up a fight over a 1 in 3 year scheduling difference.
I hope they go to a 4 team pod system where you play your pod every year plus a rotation of the other 2. That would give an 11 game regular season which is more than doable. I would also think the West Pod would be TX, OU, AR, and A&M. Which would just be absolutely glorious.
West: TX OU AR...
I don't know what kind of pod system the SEC will go to, but I do hope UT and fluride at least get a bi-yearly regular season game. We won't have to worry about seeing you in the Conference Championship, but every other year at least would be nice.
People said the same thing about Baylor. And they've played in more Conference Championship games the past 10 years than UT has. And have a national title in basketball to go with it. Thinking OU and UT can't compete when they are now going to get the chance to keep the recruits that want to...
And just in case anyone wants to read the Bowlsby tears for themselves

Apparently even male athletes are weak ass pussies as well. Thanks Liberals!!!
Baylor was never winning a Football championship anyway. The one year we had our best shot, Bowles fucked us over by declaring co-Champions when the tie-breaker was ours. Anyone can win a basketball championship regardless of conference simply because of how large the field is in the NCAA...

Life long SEC fan and Texas Ex checking in.
The playoff changes would likely do more to get them to join a conference than anything another set of schools do. (Never being allowed to be in the top 6 of playoff teams)

HAHAHAHA. They may still win gold but what a disgrace
If OU and UT go to the SEC, that's basically the entire football powerhouses of the Big 12 leaving to one conference. Which means the other schools will have to sell themselves via other means. Baylor coming off a National Championship might actually be a desirable get for the Big 10 or ACC if...
And in a game where you can literally play through ALL of the content by yourself with no intrusion of any kind by anyone else, yet are still able to trade items around, who the fuck cares what currency someone uses to buy an item??
