If it helps, leviathan wakes is not even remotely similar to game of thrones. I am not sure how well the human stuff will translate either. The detective is such a downer, and TV has a low tolerance for horrible people with no redeeming qualities.

I tried a bit of crafting in the beta weekend, it looks like they doubled down on the make it painful, make it hard, make it annoying qualities - 2 hours of farming got enough basic mats to drain all my accumulated funds with required bought materials and get 1/3 of a bar into level 1...

The description says 12 episodes covering the same stuff as the OVAs, so that gives them about 4 minutes of extra time over the 6 OVAs. It's *possible* that it's not a cynical cash grab, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

There's a chest behind him with a full set of green armor that gives +17ish prime damage aoe on hit on each piece. You might have just vendored it if not paying attention though given it is green and there's no reason to expect that no other armor in the game has that effect.

You get far more xp from quests than killing shit. There's zero reason to wander around killing stuff randomly also, as main quest will cap you on level regardless.

I think you might have confused Age of Wonders and Age of Legends -the latter is the age of empires based RTS, the former is the turn based strategy based on master of magic.

GM warfare gets you the skill that always hits, always crits and prevents the target from blocking that turn. So it's more a long haul thing, you'll suck for a while. 2H gets some pretty monster hits late game though.
