I kind of enjoy how this game doesn't have an apparent tech tree to climb. "What workshop do you want to build??? There are 50 choices!!! Great, we can build that Armorsmith. You can't do shit with it, are you a sky-loving moron??"
It's the classic problem of open RPGs where you want to have these massive structures, but don't want to have the massive expanse of farmlands to support it.
I wouldn't have had a problem if they did it Mass Effect 1 style and just said, "Akila is fucking huge. Here's 4 zones you can go to to...
This thread has inspired me to look up Taylor Swift (Who I know almost nothing about) songs for the first time in my life. Thank you everyone who contributed.
What's funny is one of the loading screens says something like, "If you're in a system with an outpost farming HE-3, you'll have extended range on your spaceship!" like that's a perk of a system that might or might not be in the game.
Nah fuck the ground vehicles. Those would be Mako-levels of fun on some planets but terrible on most planets. There's a ship mechanic in the game, use it, idc how silly or unperformant it is.
I don't even really want seamless planet/ground flight. I'd rather have fast travel. What I do want is a mechanic where you can buzz around the surface at something like 5x+ runspeed, and be able to land in arbitrary locations. I'm hoping in a couple of years or so there will be:
Ground flight...
I think I'm putting Starfield on hold for now. I didn't see everything the game has to offer but want to "save it" for when patches and mods improve the game dramatically over the next couple of years. Virtually every feature in Starfield can be fleshed out and improved, turning into the massive...
Morons.

I like how they made the guy who probably had nothing to do with the pricing changes and is popular in the community come out and apologize for the company.
I'd like to think the level and art designer created the filthiest of space stripper models ever and they were tood to make it pg, so they made the most retarded suits possible as malicious compliance and Todd said "PERFECT"
Interesting theorycrafting. The gameplay concept of starting near New Atlantis and needing to build outposts along a path to the endgame in order to make grav jumps is pretty cool and adds some depth to travel and a reason for the outposts and fuel limitations. I can see why it was scrapped in...
I still feel a bit bad about just sending Lin and Heller to a shithole moon for the entire game, with no habitat, just a hundred storage crates and a few dozen factories
your nieghbor is living in the one true future

pretty decent convergence on this. I wonder how confusing the bluegrass sample sounds to someone with a better ear than I have. Someone who could play that tune but might be confused about how certain sounds are attained that are unrealistic. Maybe it's all vanilla enough that you just need a...
I think there's a market for a high-trust, high group synergy, low APM, high risk vs reward game like EverQuest can sometimes be.
And when I say high-trust, I mean that in order to collectively work together you must have a high degree of trust in your group and guild because the game doesn't...
Why is this true? In the case of Unity, surely the board of directors for a 20 year old company with over 7000 employees isn't ignorant, are they merely also interested in the perceived value of the IPO? Why is it so common for a company's board of directors to steer a company away from...
I did a long ass USB and HDMI cables and didn't notice any issues. I didn't stress the FPS though. I'd look at the specs in the HDMI cables to see if there's any bandwidth limitation or delay (in case of repeaters, idk).
Because Re-Logic is living the dream that a key market demographic of Unity aspire to be: an small indie dev group (of 10 people) looking to explore a niche game and become wildly successful (they sold over 40 million copies of Terreria).
I'm curious if anyone has seen statistics posted on what were:
* The most popular romance options for a first playthrough
* The most popular romance options for a second playthrough
* The companion who is stuck with the most for multiple playthroughs
I think literally the only companion I like...
After Starfield I've got to play the next EQ expansion. Then I need to finally beat the Space Exploration + Krastorio 2 mod of Factorio, then I need to check out Dwarf Fortress (which I hear is pretty easy, shouldn't take long at all). Then? We'll see...
