It's not a problem. I have no issue with NPC trader in your hideout. Though I can't speak to its long term ramifications on the economy. But in terms of fixing "players not playing" effecting the economy, I don't think it helps much.

That works initially, but eventually the NPC runs out of items because the player isn't playing anymore or they're mispriced for current economic levels.
