I agree with this. Klaus is a character who happens to be gay. Gay isn't the defining character trait, it's just one trait. And I think that is the key difference. The Vanya arc in season 2 was predominantly all about her being gay and flipping a housewife. Some of this might also be them...

Apparently CBS tried this year to do some kind of cross promotional thing with Netflix and part of it was that Netflix would get streaming rights to S1 of this show. They currently don't own streaming rights to S2, so people aren't sure where it will stream yet.

I have heard that cinemark theaters are desperate enough for money that for a very nominal fee you can rent a whole theater out for a show. If this movie comes out in theaters just be prepared that I will probably rent a theater to watch it as a holiday party for select folks.
