Yeah this is one of those games that could have been good but is just not gelling properly. There's always a chance things pivot in Early Access but in it's present state it's just blah.

HoTD continues to be very D. Anytime Matt Smith is on the screen it's good, but that's not very often.

I went into this with maybe too much hopium after seeing the rave reviews and advice of personal friends. The whole film felt like fanfic. I kept thinking they were intentionally laying the 86-nostalgia on thick in advance of a 180 gut punch...but it never came. Very much a bummer.

Having seen the second episode now I find it myself quite pleased. This is better than HoT D and a couple orders of magnitude better than the Wheel of Time. We knew the production values would be through the roof, but I'm liking the overall character moments as well.

After the first episode I'm intrigued. Lots of lore stuff, but I get that they are setting up various point of view characters.

We thought this would be fairly 'meh' multiplayer and yet we've been having a blast with it. Only have a few characters unlocked and haven't really done much of anything with customizing decks, but there certainly seems plenty of opportunities to do so.

Looks like the 'paintjobs' are literally pre-painted configurations that you can apply versus just creating your own with different colors / washes / etc. I suspect they will gate some colors / special textures with an in-game currency but their general theme APPEARS to be non-evil in nature...

I'm a big Volition fan from back in the day, but this looks bad. The whole 'intro mission' has a stealth sequence wherein you can just walk past the guard without doing anything else. His awareness is so slow (probably because its a tutorial mind you) that you don't have to stealth at all...

Yeah that was the first show they had developed which has a pilot episode filmed and which HBO passed on. It was allegedly full of fire mages, dragons, children of the forest etc.... Sigh.

I would have much rather seen a show set in Old Valyria with Rome-like machinations and magic etc. Its a shame that other pilot failed.
