That practical effect of the hyperspace shot makes me think that perhaps it's being done so that some 'thing' happens during hyperspace. Whatever it is, I'm glad to see an effect not using CGI.

So for all of those that are complaining about the lack of BBC in this ep's sex scene. The actor who plays Grey Worm ( Jacob Anderson ) was in a little known 'art film' early in his career. Including some brief full frontal nudity. So have a look if you want:
