    The Last of Us

The true test of the impact of TLOU2 will be any follow up game. TLOU2 sold on the back of TLOU. Because people loved TLOU, the sequel was virtually guaranteed high sales. If the gaming public at large truly did not like TLOU2, then any TLOU3 or paid DLC is going to show a sharp falloff in sales.

Even if SE was open to it, zero chance Blizzard/Activision would ever go for it.

    Mortal Kombat (2021)

Lots of advantages. You can do whatever the fuck you want with the character and don't have to be bound by pre-existing lore and/or agreements on what they can or cannot do with a character

    Star Trek: Discovery

God, I forgot the early Cardassians. That is 70s Doctor Who level costume design lol Gotta hand it to DS9, their development of the Ferrengi and Cardassians was sorely needed (even if the Ferrengi basically became a joke race, but if we are being honest, they were a joke race from day 1. They...

    Battlefield 2042

I barely played on any server with bots, but the ones I did they were usually dumb as rocks that couldn't hit the side of a barn or they would drive into trees and shit. Only good thing is you could do "requesting pickup" and they would listen, then you could kill them and take the vehicle if...

    The Realm -- Relaunched

Ya, I find it hard to believe someone would have just blindly walked into here and touched on all those elements in their complaint with their first post without doing an iota of research on the political leanings of many of the active posters here I support the "smart shill" theory

I haven't played BDO in forever, but for FF14 it isn't so much class/setup, but the Main Story Quest that will limit your progress and what you can see. However, you can be every class on a single character, so you don't lose MSQ progress if you decide you don't like whatever job/class you're...

    Mortal Kombat (2021)

Cole isn't anyone in terms of the games. They'll probably just use him as the "everyman" or a movie specific character that gives them more freedom on how to use them, kind of like Alice in the Resident Evil movies.

    American Gods

The problem is the book is super short and there isn't enough meat there to run a multi-season show without tons of padding and changes

Wait, MECH as in the guild? Fucking lol, I remember them from NWN on AOL back in the day. I can't recall if they ended up in EQ1. EQ1 vanilla had a ton of the old NWN guilds running around for a time.

    Star Trek: Discovery

True, although sometimes when they attempt to manufacture a "beloved" character, they fail. Like during Voyager, they thought Neelix was going to be the fan favorite, instead of The Doctor. Sometimes shows just kind of fall into one naturally.

That isn’t new? DS9 main “crew” was Sisko, Kira, Dax, OBrian, Bashir, and Odo. Then Worf later. All I give a fuck about is are the characters good and can the actors pull off the characters well enough? No one wants a crew full of Wesley, Kes, Neelix, and Troi

    Cyberpunk 2077

They’re trying to make money as a job. That’s why lots of non-variety streamers get trapped in an abusive relationship with a game they hate, because playing anything outside that game causes them to lose viewers. Shroud for instance loves playing grindy MMO stuff, but gets shit views vs FPS...

    Cyberpunk 2077

Twitch streamers just played the game if they liked it. The big test is does a streamer play a game outside of any sponsored time? Again the game is good, people are just doing the hate train shit like they did with Fallout 76 because everyone bandwagons this shit instead of forming their...

I remember wanting to play, but I don’t think I met the RAM requirements at the time, or maybe modem? I do recall I didn’t upgrade my RAM until Velious. Zoning used to take like 5 minutes, then I doubled my RAM and it look seconds lol

    Half-Life: Alyx

I’m sure you could do a version now, but it would be janky as fuck. Mass market wouldn’t accept it until it was seamless and there was no uncanny valley shit

    Half-Life: Alyx

Digital paper bags? At some point maybe, but that would be a ways off. That would be on the level of an AR game making you and your friends look like you have weapons/look like game characters and can have realistic AR battles in real time. Sort of like in Cyberpunk 2077 when you play that AR...

    Half-Life: Alyx

Right. It's an amazing game, that requires you have a nice PC and a nice VR setup. If there were lots of games like Alyx, I think more people would be willing to pony up the money for a VR setup. But currently there isn't enough to justify dropping over 1K on the VR stuff alone, even if you...

Got around to watching this. Was fine for what it was, had a few funny moments and the call backs to the first film were mostly handled well. I did like how that dude just made McDoogles in Zamunda to get away from the McDonalds lawyers lol. The annoying mother wasn't in it that much in the...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Ya, the RNG to the procs never feels good, especially if you're making something with difficult to obtain materials. But if they made it too predictable, it would be easily solved with macros. Short of some reflex mini game like it's the Golden Saucer, not sure how they could get around that.

You’re always going to run into content issues, because people want different stuff (hard core/xp grinders/casual). I do get the impression that COVID fucked their schedule and stuff got pushed Eureka and Bozja bored me to tears, but I do understand people like that sort of shit.

    Battlefield 2042

My favorite sniper map was the one where you start on that elevated island/mountain and have to push down a narrow road to a town. 80% of the players would just have a sniper battle between the mountain and the shore. I’d get so many kills with the barret .50

Pretty much. Replace SWORD with virtually any military organization and end result is the same. Much like Monica, this felt mostly as an introduction to a new organization (although kind of an odd way to introduce it...now SWORD will have a villain taint to it, unlike SHIELD which was the good...
