    The Expanse

It's not too hard to get through the events of book 6 from a show perspective I don't think. Book 5 and 6 are basically the "same book" split into two, so you front load with setup/introducing characters, then in the 2nd half you move towards resolving the setup.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Chemist_(job) Most people in the West probably remember them from FFT, where they basically threw healing items at people and had a gun as a weapon. They've had the class in other FF games where mixing shit to create more powerful effects was a thing...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Ya healer is almost 100% guaranteed as a new class. Biggest challenge for them is what can they do to make it feel unique. Astrologian got simplified and that upset some people. I worry that if they add chemist, any mixing stuff might get dumbed down.

    WandaVision

You can tell the age of a poster by how triggered they get by how old TV used to be lol

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Ya, Alphi and Ali getting new classes that fit their archetypes would probably make sense. Magical DPS (Alisae) and healer (Alphi).

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Feb 5th at 830 pm est/ 530 pst is the announcement live stream date. Expected to be the expansion reveal and presumably at least 1 of the new classes (chemist is my bet).

    The Expanse

In the books you can hear her thought process on the engineering tricks she pulls on the ship. I thought they did a good job in the show at helping the audience understand what she was doing

The part where after they dump the core

    The Expanse

You couldn’t without cutting a lot. They seemed to have dropped an entire thing with Alex and Bobbie at the moment, or maybe they are just deferring it

    The Expanse

They’re being faithful to the books for the most part. All this buildup comes into play later through book 6.

    Battlefield V

BC2 was so much Carl Gustov spam lol Vehicles still felt powerful in that game, though.

GTA RP can be fun, but one thing that is nice about games like Rust is you can create structures/etc and you can sort of customize the content.

    Chuck

Considering they were the core of the show, it felt kind of bullshit to basically erase years of that development and vaguely hint that she remembers tiny bits, maybe, but she may never remember everything. Makes me wonder if they perhaps had plans to later address that but it never materialized

It’s almost like you can rewatch old episodes with more info and find hidden clues hiding in plain sight!

OTV PvP is dead, RP is starting to die out a bit in terms of big streamers, but there is still a pretty solid core

I loved Chuck, but I hated how they ended it

    Battlefield V

The bigger problem is they added grinding to vehicles to unlock shit. One of the reasons I eventually abandoned BF5 is I was late to the game, so it was nearly impossible to level up a plane. You either got destroyed in seconds by fully upgrades enemy planes, or you got 1 shot by those...

    Battlefield V

Ya, at least in BF1942, not everyone was running around with fucking ARs or had portal AA guns that could 1 shot a plane. Being a good tank driver or plane pilot meant you could do some serious damage. Vehicles were always the main draw in BF series to me, although BF3 started the whole "lol...

    WandaVision

I imagine the reviews will get more positive when they get to 80s/90s sitcoms and the main demographic actually recognizes the references lol

    Battlefield V

BF5's BR could have been decent if they actually spent any time on it. It never felt like it was pushing any envelopes and the looting/gameplay mechanic setup was abysmal. The fact Bethesda spent more time on Nuclear Winter (the FO76 BR) than Dice did on Firestorm is telling, considering...

    Cyberpunk 2077

For that quest I ended up convincing him to go through with it/not really question it. Johnny had a good point during one of the conversations: The Corps are interested in it because it will make them rich, but its a means of actually rebelling against the corporations because it represented...

    Marvel Universe stuff

Ya, Tennant and JJ's interactions/storyline made season 1 solid.

    WandaVision

I suspect that if not this show, maybe the new Doctor Strange film will act as the introduction of mutants. His whole thing in the new film is the multiverse, so they could do some sort of reality merging or whatever and boom, now you have X-men and shit.
  24. Cybsled

    WandaVision

Not really. MCU Scarlet and Quicksilver were basically Infinity Stone science experiments. The closest they have gotten to mutants is the Inhumans (Agents of SHIELD and the short-lived Inhumans TV show), but given how little Marvel TV has had any impact on the MCU (the dude who played Jarvis...

    WandaVision

Agnes is probably Agatha, which would confirm that Mephisto will be the big bad. I wonder if this show will end up acting as a backdoor introduction of mutants into the MCU now that Disney owns X-men?

    Cyberpunk 2077

Hate clicks earn more money than positive ones and boost you higher in the Youtube algorithms. This is the juiciest game target since FO76 for this type of content. People made hundreds of thousands of dollars shitting on that game, an AAA title like this will make other hate video makers...

Facebook reactions on promoted content is usually garbage anyways. Like when the Expanse promoted on the platform, I swear half the comments were MAGA trolls with a beef with Bezos and a quarter of the comments were smooth brains that didn't understand the show lol

    The Expanse

DS9 didn't expand the Federation. Your estimate of "100s" of Cadets makes no sense, even in TOS era. A Navy isn't just Aircraft Carriers or Battleships. It's destroyers, frigates, subs, etc. The Constitution or Galaxy classes were basically battleships. Yes, you don't have many battleships...

    WandaVision

At this juncture, they work with the assumption you know who these characters are. You don't need an intro to them. Which is fair, because a show like this (or Loki or whatever) is targeted at people who are familiar with the MCU. So these opening two episodes are an immediate mystery to...

    The Expanse

B5 was good, DS9 was good. I personally liked DS9 more because I just enjoyed many of the characters more (especially the "side" characters, like Garak, Quark, Weyoun, Gul Dukat) and that show had a pretty great all around solid cast in terms of acting ability.
  35. Cybsled

    WandaVision

Anything in the MCU is fair game. SWORD is the only element that has been barely introduced (they've hinted at it in other MCU things, but I dont think they've referred to it directly by name?). But watching a show like this w/o no MCU background is unlikely, lets be honest. With the...

    WandaVision

Pleasantville was just an allegory for racism/resistance to change and pointing out the hypocrisy of pining for the "good old days". They really aren't trying to do that here, so to speak. It seems like they are just trying to use different TV eras to represent the current state of her...

Easy test: Sanrith, would you call sprite a pop, soda, or coke? If he answers anything but soda, then he speaks English and Communist as languages
  38. Cybsled

    WandaVision

It’s clear what angle they are going. SWORD is trying to get through to her, they succeed a little bit each time, and each success moves her into a different TV era as a metaphor for her psychological state. First episode is 50s, so super ideal but also superficial. Next one goes to early 60s...

    Cyberpunk 2077

I think the only level 50 enemies in the game are if you do the secret ending. Even with that, I was able to kill them no problem (although I did have to down a lot of health sprays lol)
