Yeah I'm not worried about it being a cash grab. I'm more worried about them just keeping the current, fairly light-weight and pokestop-camping focused game design.

lol, yep. I don't know niantic and I don't know mobile gaming but I wouldn't be surprised if the only difference between Pogo now and a year from now is more cash shop items + generation 2/3 pokemon.

As much as I hate the idea of cheating, the idea of people roaming around neighborhoods/parks going to the exact location where a rare pokemon are is better gameplay than camping out on a 3 or 4 lured spawn and just spinning + catching. I'm hoping they move toward a complex, AR-based tracking...

Dunno but once a decent maphack is published it's going to spread and then stress the servers. It's not hard for them to shut down the maphacks, they just need to do it.

added, thanks. Some pokemon will cause your ball to curve away. You need to throw with a spin in order to catch them. Best to practice spinning the ball and get good at it. My standard throw now is spinning clockwise, then throwing to the left of the pokemon. Sadly yes. I hope they nerf that...

Yep. Theory is that they broke it intentionally to reduce server load. It's just as likely that it broke on its own and they're focused on stabilizing the servers.

Until they have an AR-based system to track pokemon the feet are fine. Having a semi-precise estimate of distance makes it way too easy. The maphacks people have now should be easy to patch.

Hunting down pokemon is pretty futile atm unless you live in an area where all the pokemon exist on one road. Best to either lure or walk a circuit and just get what you get.

It won't even be super nerds doing it. If there's a website called, PokeMap.com that some bro in a 4stop goes to and says to 20 people, "PokeMap.com shows a blaistoise at the next block", shit will spread like wildfire. Most of the 47million+ people playing this game don't understand cheating...

Pokemon Go Developmentwill probably have a pretty good maphack within a week. I hope they close the loophole they're using before it becomes too widespread. Will make it trivial to find rare pokemon when you can just automatically search an entire neighborhood using a publicly accessible website.

I heard that eggs give better pokemon or something than wild ones. I also hear that eggs stop getting better at level 20, but wild pokemon keep getting better until 30. Not sure how true any of that is.

Interesting. I wonder if this "cleans" your system like restarting the app does. I had near-flawless performance today. Went to a park that was chock full of pokestops. One area had 6 nearby, 4 of which could be reached at one time. Was about 50 people all sitting there catching pokemon...

agree with this. I don't even think the books are that relevant at this point. They can just deliver a classic Hollywood ending with some bittersweet twists. GRRM built up the world and the plot, they just need to finish it. The last season was the best IMO, and I can't help but think GRRM's...

Yes, you could. However it's likely that by the time you powered your CP50 Blastoise to 1500CP, you'd get a higher level squirtle/wartortle/blastoise that would make you feel really dumb for blowing all those candies/stardust on it. But the low level pokemon you get aren't gimped. Note...
