I don’t recall if they went into any sort of detail in the book regarding that, just that the dude was a doomsday prepper.

I like loadouts because they are one of the few ways to equalize your power vs. other players, which helps guard against shitty RNG (all you find is shit ground loot). Other reasons: 1) They are highly visible, allowing you to locate other squads, which leads to engagement 2) The freebie...

    Cyberpunk 2077

The head Voodoo Boys woman seemed to basically want to ally with the rogue AI past the wall because they wanted to be on the winning side. If you add up all the different plot elements in the game, a lot points to a rogue AI conspiracy. 1) Cohh Carnage's avatar goes on rants about overlords...

    Cyberpunk 2077

With a few exceptions, you can more or less link the V lives endings into a singular core narrative for continuation (obviously with different characters alive in some and not others, and dif romances).

No different than other countries. Wasn’t the hypothesis that the Mao disasters caused most of this, since he caused millions to die of starvation and people became more stingy?

Re: the first quest thing, as far as I can tell it's just vendor trash. It doesn't appear under junk, but if you go under your full inventory, it shows up with a 4k vendor price. I haven't found any quests that would use the item. As for the 2nd question, I suspect they will address that in a...

    The Expanse

Naomi's parts bored me in the books as well - they mostly served as a window into the shit going on with Marcos and the rebelling Belters. There were some interesting bits that came from that, though. Dunno if they'll touch on it in the show, but with humanity spread across the solar system...

    Cyberpunk 2077

Well, corporations do run the world, just not in the direct way the authors envisioned (ie, corporation becomes the government itself). Future predictions are always hard to do, because it is always going to be tainted by current events/developments and assuming they will continue on the same...

Like the article points out, Smith and Capaldi left after 3 seasons, so not really that out of the ordinary based on recent history

    Cyberpunk 2077

It is kind of funny how Johnny Mnemonic got so much wrong about the future and was supposedly serious, and Demolition Man was basically just going wacky and predicted shit with far more accuracy lol

    The Expanse

The books really only focused on the details of the asteroid impact with Amos' and Avasaralla's POV chapters. Amos' is naturally limited to the areas he visits and Ava's are focused on the more macro view and the global repercussions of it. It plays out with more detail in the books, so...

They are, but the way it is presented in the game is clearly influenced by the movie's version.

Book 4's sole redeeming quality was we got some Builder-lore and Proto-Miller. The show also fixed some of the problems with the book in terms of villain motivation - he felt way too cartoony in the book.

    Cyberpunk 2077

This game actually has a blatant Johnny Mnemonic easter egg in it. One of the advertisements talks about a courier service where you get the first 80 gigs free and shows the storage inside a guy's brain. The nanowire weapon is also pretty much from the Johnny Mnemonic movie

Let's say that elevator alone weighs around a ton. That thing easily fell about a 100ish feet or so before it reached them. At that weight and speed, the thing would essentially be close to 10 tons of impact. Not unreasonable for that thing to basically just bulldoze through them like they...

Elevator and maint ladders are two completely independent systems, not sure how you thought they could do jack shit about the elevator? Seems like a dumb thing to nitpick about. Ladder panels had an additional locking system. They shot the locking system at two points presumably to break...

    Doctor Who

Haven't been the biggest fan of the new seasons, but I do like how Daleks are back to flat out exterminating again. I also do like the new beam weapon effects, they feel more powerful than they did in prior seasons

Those scenes were all in the books as well. Like those pictures show, there was an additional mechanism at play they had to account for. I can't remember the Razorback part totally. I do recall the book version of the Epstein drive invention scene didn't address voice controls, so they...

Call of Duty 2020: Black Ops Cold War

I hadn't played WZ since CW integration dropped. So I reinstalled game on a SSD and gave it a try. First of all, did they do something to the graphics? Everything on the ground had this odd white outline that made it look fucking odd. The animations seemed odd too...like I looted a BIZEN off...

She doesn't actually appear in the game like that, so it is clickbait. It's just a reference to her character during the Corpo lifepath intro when you use V's office computer.

You can get a pet cat. Check your inventory for cat food under aid items to see if you have it (looks like meat on styrofoam sorta). If you don’t have it, you can find some in the Arawaka warehouse you did a mission in previously. Go back to your apartment building. If you’re leaving your...

That is mostly down to nurture and what their peers are doing. There isn't some biological pre-determination at play for the most part, it's culture and what you are taught. -Parents have a concept of what is appropriate, as a result of their own upbringing and experiences. As a result, from...

HL: Alyx is pretty damn amazing and the way it ended made every Half Life fan cream themselves, but the very steep hurdle to play it (A good VR rig) really limits it's audience.

    The Mandalorian

Good point about ego. The issue usually stems from someone wanting to make something their own, but do so at the expense of what has already been laid out. But there is also something to be said about original creators trying to "take back" something, but it isn't the best thing. Like take...
