Think I got one flurry rush on the camel boss. Agree it's mostly useful on Lynels, just sit in front of them and bait their 3 hit swipe combo, easy to just backflip that for the rush.

Yeah, wii u framerate has never actually caused a death or anything. It's only in towns where it's pretty bad, and even then you don't really have to do anything combat related in towns so I just bear with it. Just running around and exploring, which is like 80% of the game, has been fine.

Just caught this and really happy I just stuck with the Wii U version. I mean yeah it's not perfect but it seems the Switch isn't either heh.

Playing this on my Wii U now and other than the lack of AA this version looks/feels fine imo. Frame drops aren't as bad as I was expecting(in the first area at least). It's there but nothing that's impacted me too much.

Damn that sucks, this console needs a few extra purchases to just seem functional. Screen protector, Pro controller if you want a dpad, charging grip if you want to charge the joycons while not docked.

Well after thinking about this all day and reading up on a comparsion thread on NeoGaf i'm going to go with the Wii U version and save myself the cash. I mean when the Switch is having the same problems here in this review: I just can't justify it.

Yeah the live streams were much more telling on Wii U performance, especially going into a town or village where the fps dropped pretty badly. Though I am reading that there was a Day 1 patch for both systems that may or may not have improved framerate.

Well glad to hear that's fixed then, I broke down and plan to buy a Switch tomorrow lol. I figured since I got my Wii U for free thanks to a ToysR'Us fuck up and only have two games on it I may as well get the new hardware. Don't want to play the zelda DLC this summer/fall on a shit system.

I caught a streamer playing the Wii U copy earlier this week and it did look pretty rough, both IQ and framerate. Like there was this one enemy that was doing some attack that was graphically intense and the drop was pretty bad; said streamer was complaining about it, like drop to 15 or so...

I figured they threw the Metroid franchise under the bus when the put out that shitty 3DS game last year that no one wanted. I haven't heard anything about a Metroid 4 but guess it's not impossible.

Only thing I've heard about the Wii U version is it has some framerate issues during big weather effects, outside of that it was fine. Seeing as how the Switch docked version has frame issues as well, I'm not too sure how good the port is for that system either.
