This is why I often think that stories which showcase what happens after the apocalypse are more interesting even if less action packed. Its easy to write about a robot uprising, much harder to write about what the hell happens afterward.
I would very much like for them to move past the TNG timeline. I am sick to death of prequels and am far more interested in where the universe goes after Voyager made it back and Romulus blew up. A decent time jump into the 25th century and see what came of everything.
Am I wrong in thinking that there will be minimal 'WestWorld' in "WestWorld" for the next season? I also feel somewhat short changed in that nothing really explained the most burning question, in my mind at least, of the whole season:
How fucking big is this island?!?
I mean it has multiple...
Having the default UI include a built-in group finder for World Quests was such a QoL improvement I can't fathom why they think this is necessary. Is it to build community? Because any notion of that went away the second they introduced cross-server dynamic phasing.
in EQ there was a...
The after credits scene seemed to imply that it took place far into the future.
I'm quite curious to see the rest of the Delos corporation. It felt in the flashbacks like Delos himself was a self-made man and in complete control of the company, yet William seems to be somewhat sidelined in...
When you see Cara Gee in interviews it shows just how capable she is in conjuring forth Drummer. Here's this unassuming Canadian woman hailing from Toronto but with first nations heritage and yet her delivery of the belter creole is always on-point. Truly transformative.
It's kinda crazy thinking where this season began to where it is now. I've said it before but I think they struck paydirt when they came up with the idea to start new 'books' midseason.
From what people have said it looks like they rengineered some characters to bridge the overall narrative...
Babylon Behemoth!
When they were stuck and looking up at the inner drum of the ship I kept thinking 'why don't they just spin the thing...its clearly meant to do that for the generational ship voyage'
It really feels like in going from 110 to 120 you gain... nothing . There's no Talent at 120, no new ability / spell, just a 'ding' now go farm some Azerite so you can get a 0.03% increase in your +better. Literally every time I got a piece of armor that was effected by the Azerite I would be...

Oh for fuck's sake. What moron wrote up the contract that let this "producer" retain the rights despite not actually ponying up any cash or, ya know, producing the film? There should have been...
Decided to level up the new Void Elf Priest rather than just use a token, and the levelling content is chock full of emo elves. This must be what it was like for BC era Horde. (Dranei were never really popular)
The more I think about BfA the more annoyed I become. Legion really upped the...
I've not read the books, but I picked up on the tragedy of the situation as each of the portals closed one by one and, in an act of desperation, the station blew up a star.
It will, however, need some decompressing.
Without the Artifact weapons and other artifact powers I'm wondering if BfA isn't going to seem very hum-drum. When they first announced it sounded like all the cool stuff was moving away from the artifacts and into the Azerite powered armor, but the actual abilities are really boring as hell.
Now I love me some alternate history stuff. I'm all for the Dreadlands, Crimson Skies, Earthdawn, Temeraire, FrostPunk, Scythe, etc. and so something of this nature is instantly compelling for me. That having been said I can't help but feel this is going to be writ large as 'evil white men...
Read the spoiler summary of Before the Storm on Reddit and sheesh... I honestly don't see how the Horde holds itself together at this point. I mean if I were the Tauren I'd be pretty much done with following psychopaths and getting people killed for no damn good reason. I'm also not quite...
So a few months later -- that same guy is now thoroughly addicted to Gloomhaven and even plays the Tinkerer (so a healer / support class) which is so completely contrary to his standard gaming persona that everyone outside the actual Gloomhaven group is shocked when it gets brought up.
We are...
So I linked the Devolver Digital press conference to my buddy Alex who is not a gamer but whom I thought would appreciate the humor (also the gore as he is a horror director). Turns out he was the assistant director for it! He's super pumped that people are liking it.
They do love using their so very diverse groups with "authentic" gamer speech. I actually think there should be a sub-genre of multiplayer with voice-chat fakery. They do get across things like new gadgets, more tactical contact like the bouncing grenades and having to shoot the chick's...
For me its just more of the same. Same three classes, same overall mechanic where you spend a majority of time just using guns (and now bows...) as a run-n-gun gameplay with a few specific supers to take out the same enemies that we first saw in the first zone of the first game.
No new player...
What is the current state of Green Jesus Thrall? It would seem that BfA will be redeeming Jaina AKA FrostBitch so I got to wondering if Thrall was ever going to stop moping around.
People are seriously over analyzing the box office totals for SOLO. It has nothing to do with 'brand fatigue' or 'rejecting the white male protagonist' and everything to do with it being something that no one really wanted. There is also the metacontexual fact that people knew the movie had...
Some people should not be allowed to use social media unsupervised. She just fucked over the rest of the cast / crew. Well unless the back-backlash results in the show being picked up by some right leaning entertainment network. What IS a right leaning entertainment network?
I wish prequel directors, of any established series, would stop trying to come in and explain everything we knew about a character's backstory in a single narrative. Especially if it all happens during a single adventure that spans a couple days.
Playing through again and Dark Conner is a beast. Also, either I'm getting better at them or certain choices result in much easier / fewer QT events I think. The dark side is definitely more seductive.
I think there are a few plot holes that crop up depending on your choices. There were were...
Have they made the $4billion back in Box Office profit? No.
This is not a problem. The big money for Star Wars has always been the licensing with its associated upfront payment and share of the proceeds. Their cut from the merchandise sold since Force Awakens has easily been worth the price...
Renewal aside, can we discuss just how badass Drummer is? Because she is. I love that Cara Gee manages to infuse every moment of her performance with pure raw anger. Even when Drummer is calm she is angry as fuck and it shows.
I finished it tonight. I had no intention of doing so, but I found I just could not put it down. I'm curious to see how much of the story is a genuine choice and how much is phantom choice but locked into the same basic rail. It certainly felt like it could have been much much different.
I think its safe to say that Battlefield is to WW2 what Dungeons and Dragons is to the middle ages. Both are examples of pure fantasy with a loose anchor to a period setting.
