I'm still not sure what you mean. The Rift is intended as a seated experience so external walking is a bit unsupported (but still possible, and lots of people will use stuff likehttp://www.virtuix.com/thingto do it. The HTC VIVE however is targeting a small room size walking experience, but...

I understand it's all subjective and my comment was tongue in cheek, but the way I see it if there was a pre-apoc game where you had the same set of choices (House vs a set of non-house choices where you disabled House), Vegas wouldn't have survived the nuclear war because House wouldn't have...

This might be old news to everyone but I just learned about it. Star Citizen has a pretty sweet community driven bug tracking system: Issue Council The community can claim to reproduce / not reproduce the issue and ostensibly this will bring issues to the forefront. I can see this...

I haven't beaten Witcher3 but it already had a pretty devastating end to one of the sub plots. I haven't looked up to see if you can get a happily ever after yet to it, but I hope you can. Fortunately in every Bethesda game ever there never really was a big fork you could choose without...

I know people who also say the same thing about not wanting to play because there's too many directions you can go. For me that's the #1 thing I like about Bethesda games. I kind of wish they had less level scaling and some obvious way to tell the player what the level ranges are because that...

It's interesting that part time salespeople don't get commission but full timers do. Makes it a conflict of interest for anyone tied to the profitability of the store but still trying to maintain the "part timers are there to help if the full timers are busy" guideline. It's easy for people...

Haha sorry =\ It's not that I think you or anyone is a retard for treating precision due to bit size intuitively (double your bits, double your precision), it's just that as a programmer I'm baffled that gamers are so focused on such a technical discussion. Nobody knows the details of how...

Ah ok. Any news on preorders is a big deal to me. I know OVR is trying to have mass produced head sets to meet demand, but it's very possible that not being in on the first hour of pre-ordering might delay delivery for weeks. That depends on how much marketing they do before opening up pre-orders.

Forcing people to use steam has the upside of making it easier for casual gamers to get patches and also be exposed to steamworks. Both are huge wins for Bethesda games that are released in an unfinished state.

It's a lot harder than you'd think to shill a game like Star Citizen and A: Not piss off the person paying you, B: Not look like a shill. When Chris Roberts makes a press release, his words are marketing speak and loaded with bias. And that's okay because that's what it is. But if someone...

Yep. Right now VR support is enabled by Skyrim and other games through a 3rd party application (VorpX or Vireio).
