I messed around with a boss once. We work in completely different groups now and I thought we played it cool. But tonight a coworker friend straight up asked, "so, you two hooked up right?" Guess we didn't play it so cool.
This was well over a year ago so I guess he's been itching to ask for...
My take on Varga is he just gets these front corporations up and running and then moves onto the next one. Typically that's all it takes. But shit has a knack for going sideways up north.
This gives me hope. Reds got quite the haul from the past few seasons of fire sale. At least the position players are turning out. Just need to shore up the SP and they can be contending again within a year or two. Getting Desclafani and Bailey back will be huge.
Cincinnati Reds position...
Not a surprise. What are the ratings like for Veep though? Seven seasons is pretty lengthy for an HBO show. I never hear anyone not-FOH talk about the show. I don't know anyone else who watches it. Must be doing well enough though.
When I saw Soundgarden in 2013 the setlist was a true fan's setlist. They didn't play Black Hole Sun and I don't think they played Fell On Black Days either. The final song of the encore was motherfucking Fourth of July. It was awesome.
Same situation for me. I have some co-workers who visit from the other offices and it's always a great time. We'll go to concerts or visit breweries. Other co-workers it's dinner and I might only drink water during it. As for the party co-workers, the ones who get the wildest tend to be...
My first open bar experience was my first "real job" holiday party. I was 21. I serenaded the entire company with the Adam Sandler Hannukah song. Don't get that drunk.
Cavs will probably win in five but they are displaying a weakness now that IT is out. Boston is relying on everyone and no one. Spreading the ball around. And Cavs defense can't keep up. Hoping the Warriors ball movement destroys them.
EDIT: Kyrie. Goddamn.
I would consider getting one of those just for the cocktail aspect. I really dig making cocktails at home and making sure you have ginger beer, tonic water, and club soda on hand all the time sucks.
With the way this postseason has gone I wouldn't be surprised if Klay ends up being trade bait. Keep Durant and Steph. Would be sad to see Klay go, but he's been a non-factor for the most part.
C'mon. People use "jump the shark" too loosely around here. This is nowhere close to post-season four Dexter. It still delivers plenty of laughs even if it's not as technically accurate.
Veep is still HBO's best comedy.
