    Machu Picchu

Yes that was horribly annoying. We ended up getting stuck in Aguas Calientes seven hours longer than we wanted to because a landslide fell onto the train tracks. It sucked. Didn't get back to Cusco until after 5am. That town isn't exciting enough for seven hours of downtime. We actually...

I do miss that aspect of places with seasons. Always loved that first warm day of spring on campus. The walk across the greens contained many A+ sights.

    Spain/Portugal

I would avoid the summer. It gets very hot. And a lot of places don't have A/C there. As for how much time to spend there, that's up to what you're into. Madrid is a very big city with the typical city attractions. Fantastic world-class art museums if you're into that. The Reina Sofia is...

    Spain/Portugal

It is a tourist destination but the Alhambra in Granada is amazing. Highly recommend. Granada is also a pretty great city. And while you're in southern Spain, you should check out Ronda. It's some Game of Thrones type shit. It's a city built on a canyon and the bridge to connect the two...

I Kickstarter'ed the game so I'm already in. Just got back from being out of the country for a while so I haven't had a chance to play it. Will probably get on that tonight.

Yeah Mike Trout is absolutely phenomenal. I try to target Angels games when they're visiting the A's. He can do it all.

    Machu Picchu

This is a really cool place and you all should go. Don't know what is the most impressive man-made thing I've seen between this or the Alhambra. The rainforest is also legit. Extremely gross and human-unfriendly. But that's part of the charm.

I think the building Crooked Stave is in is cooler than the brewery. Not knocking on the brewery. But that market is awesome. I think it's hard to beat Falling Rock due to their huge selection.

I'm in Peru right now and the best, highest quality restaurants are like $25 per person. This is awesome. Alpaca with some cheesy potato dish prepared like a crepe with a ton of thinly sliced layers. Really looking forward to this place that apparently has next level lomo saltado. A favorite...

Subway shouldn't even count as food. I think that's the one place this entire thread can agree on. Subway is the worst. There's something disturbing about being able to smell one 500 feet away. Though I recall some very vehement Jimmy John's haters. They're different places though. JJ's is...

Didn't know there were places that were still without Chipotle. That place was like the Starbucks of fast food with their aggressive expansion. It's certainly worth a visit. The cilantro rice is really good. Barbacoa is quality. My only beef with them is that they can't wrap burritos for...

In-N-Out fries aren't good. I don't think I could handle two burgers from 5 Guys. Because it's hard to not get 80% of the available toppings on your burger since nothing is extra charge.

Ha, exactly. We have sales people that pull that shit too. They'll hit their new business quota early in the quarter or year (if it's big) and then they'll just fuck off the rest of the year.

Well if you expand to the entire area you have a ton of options. Just SF specifically is like that. There are a couple Arby's in Silicon Valley and Wendy's are everywhere outside the city. There's even Chik-Fil-A popping up in East Bay.

Pretentious Super Taster Fancy Dancy Thread

French Laundry is really overrated. Thread title needs "super taster" removed. Super tasters are the people who can't enjoy dishes served at establishments like the ones mentioned in this thread. Everything good offends them.

Deal. I can't eat fast food on the reg. I'm a victim of my domicile. I would love it if Arby's or Wendy's was more readily available for me. But they just aren't. I was on a business trip last month and I was so excited because there was an Arby's down the street and my co-workers who I...

I remember it being a joke in Ohio too. Probably similar to MI. Have no idea what it's like in CA but I don't think it's as tough as what Noodle is saying. I don't particularly care to own a gun either way. Never been into guns. Or cars. Or airplanes. I hate those tangents in FSR.
