Aye level in HoT zones. 3 separate mastery bars. Base game, HoT and PoF. Base game and PoF are easier max out than HoT. HoT takes a bit because there are so many different mastery choices. But HoT has a lot of popular event chains.

If you play WvW or PvP there are some pretty good ways to get Ascended armor there also. Choose your stats. Plus those ascended pieces are used to make legendary armor. That takes a lot of time though. Worth looking into if you enjoy either of those modes.
