Astro, You clearly didn’t watch the show. That dude gets kicked to the curb and she hooks up with the guy with a limp due to his WW2 injuries.

    Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Ya, the Cap sendoff was great. Peggy and Steve never really fully got over each other, so it was nice to see them reunited and get their happy ending. I don't think people really have an issue with that, just with how it seemed to break their own rules with Old Man Cap appearing in the present...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Eureka is basically EQ1/FFXI bottled into a entire zone. Can't solo (efficiently anyways), non-instanced dungeon inside, etc. I tried a couple mobs, took forever, realized I got sick of this shit back in the late 90s/early 2000s, and noped the fuck out of that zone.

Yes, although they didn't have the same issue with the Agent Carter TV show. They used the same actor for Jarvis in his brief cameo.

    Avengers: Endgame (2019)

It's best not to think about the time travel logic, because there was none. It was a mish-mash of multiverse and linear time, although more on the multiverse side. However, the biggest wrench was the end

My low level noob hero still lives in there I guess if they have the character data. I think I only got to around 30 before I quit the game.

    The Orville

Literally boom in the episode lol Good episode, but didn’t feel like a season finale. I do hope this gets renewed, it’s a great show and scratches that Star Trek itch. Then again, it’s Fox, so that doesn’t bode well.

FFXIV is mostly western fantasy settings and classes. You didn’t really see Asian themed zones until Stormblood, because you basically travel to their version of Japan/Mongolia. If you legit want to try it out, I have a pc starter edition code still.

The Instagram raid drops got nerfed. After Plane of Tumblr had all the epic porn removed, Citadel of Instagram shadow banned the “suggestive” drops that weren’t overpowered at all, claiming that they didn’t want to risk hurting casual noobs.

Japanese post offices also have ATMs that accept foreign debit cards. I think them and 7/11 are the only reliable ATMs for non-JP cards.

Because you vastly overestimate the market for a 20 year old grind design. I mean fuck, even the grind happy Korean market is getting sick of it. Eureka in FFXIV is basically EQ1/FFXI style and tons of people hate that shit.

Oh ya, for some of the old temples and old Imperial palace, expect to take your shoes off. The old Imperial palace also has intentionally creaky boards, as they were designed as a low-tech motion sensor (makes it nearly impossible to sneak around lol). IDK what you're talking about desert...

When I went, I visited Kyoto and Tokyo. Tokyo has been talked a bunch about already, so for Kyoto. 1) Kyoto isn't really known for it's food, so just keep that in mind. It did have some decent French bakeries when we were there, though. 2) Can visit the old Imperial Palace and some awesome...

The whole crafting / boost quality was pay2win and that was day 1. “Your shit has a high chance to blow up unless you buy our cash shop items, in which case it still has a chance to blow up but slightly lower!”

FFXIV hit a good note with crafting, IMO. Some of the BiS stuff can be made with crafting, but you need really good crafting gear and strategy to craft it at high quality. Otherwise, you can get rare materials and make cool glamours/transmog items. It's also fun. They're not the first MMO to...

Archeage didn't fail because they tried to cater to a wider audience, they failed because of lack of meaningful content, stupid nerfs (hur hur, let's equalized vehicle speeds so we can sell faster vehicles later, then nerf them after people buy those! ), and blatant pay2win gameplay mechanics...

Ya, the difficulty in EQ1 was usually how many bodies you could throw at a boss and if you had enough tanks/healers to deal with the deathtouch bullshit the SOE devs used as a crutch.

This. Farming seru bane or poison resist gear blows. It is an artificial way to extend content longevity by forcing people to grind situational items with little usage outside specific fights.

2 years later... the almost sad state of MMOs in the new era

You have to be -really- careful with "I can fuck up shit you've been working on for a year" mechanics, though. Games like Shadowbane, or even as recently as Atlas, show that people can stomach bugs to a degree, but if they lose everything they've put lots of work into and feel like it was...

Ya, with the removal of loot lockouts in Omega and Osbornne, 0 reason to not get geared. I'm really curious how the server visit is going to fuck with the economy of other servers on Crystal. Balmung's economy is less inflated than other servers because gold sellers were locked from making...

They tried that once before with mixed results. FFXIV does it a bit and seems to have some decent success, but people don't riot because you can get decent ingame glamours as well. The biggest plus to MMOs is if you get your playerbase invested, you can have a very loyal core that will play...

It got really grindy I recall and if not specced right, it was pretty tedious. I had a technology blaster because I liked gadgets. My hero had a gas mask, fedora, and wife beater shirt on. My friends thought my hero looked dumb, but I didn’t want to admit it. This was pre “mlady” meme. I...

Pretty sure that was strategic. Maisie needs a career post-GoT, so she needs to shatter the "i'm a kid" stigma that can impact what roles she can get. You see other actors do the same where they started young, then got older. Daniel Radcliffe tried pretty hard to get away from Harry Potter by...
