It's doable, it just sounds better and deeper on paper than ingame. The reality is that you'd enter the docks and cycle through all the quest givers looking for the quests you'd do. You'd spam click through the bartender's bullcrap until you see the quest about going to visit an alien wreckage...

It's only a joke if they don't add other DLC you get from ordering from Gamestop or pay $2 for... By releasing a full game with no DLC, then months+ later releases quality content as DLC. That's what Bethesda did for FO3 and Skyrim and it worked very well.

The 3d printed food machine they've shown is probably half bullshit, but the idea of creating an infinite variety of foods from ~20 base ingredients is much different than creating 20 different types of soda from carbonated water and 20 different syrups.

No it's definitely a gold driven game where much of the gold production methods involve PvP or 'risk' of PvP. This would be especially true if inter-continental trade runs were more lucrative than intracontinental ones, which happens in 1.7 iirc.

Yep. Any group not affiliated with getting a castle/pebbles was focused on getting land and a lot of groups executed really well.

Full report later... MH got Marcala TWO got Heedmar Dark Ascension/Gankbus got Nuimari PRX got Calmlands We were able to keep out TWO and Dark Ascension/Gankbus from the mines, but they were able to buy all their pebbles from Inoch, haha.

I'll wait to see but ME3 had incredible multiplayer because the gameplay was so fun, it's hard to imagine the gameplay being that compelling in a DA style game.

I think a big part of that is because of #2 also. Everybody who is shipping packs around for $$$ is doing it intracontinental and sticking to safe zones. Gilda star runs to Freedich are rare enough that getting ~20 people and guarding freedich just isn't worth it.

I think they'll both end up being fairly singleplayer friendly. Maybe I'm wrong about it but I feel like most fans want to be special snowflakes ala freelancer/mass effect instead of small time players in a big universe ala Eve. I know personally I want the special snowflake route.
