I'm inclined to agree- especially if youre going short range you'll be eating a lot of fire, and not being knocked over and called-shotted into the floor is more important than a couple of lasers you barely have room for if youre packing twin AC20's anyway.

I find you can pull a couple of the double heatsinks on the atlas 2 to use elsewhere and free up space for gyros etc, at least with my setup

Sludig- well for sandbox play after the storyline you'll have an Atlas 2 which can run 2 AC10s' and 2 LRM 20s, so maybe 3 crabs and that?

Got a stalker finally, tried a missile boat build, didnt really work for me I think. Not comfortable with the lack of armor getting more than LRM60 on it entails. Always want to be able to take a few hits in case of surprises.

I run around in the Grasshopper, helps insure against accidents if I totally fuck up. The Highlander missile boat should have a Comm ++ in the head, just havent transferred it from my old Orion missile boat yet.

I'd say the 6 MGs are better due to heat issues. The grasshopper runs pretty hot, and 3 more small lasers adding heat I think will push it over the edge, especially in warm biomes. Even with all MGs I'm giving serious consideration to stealing a double heatsink from my highlander for it.
