WarnerMedia launching HBO Max Spring 2020

Does Harry Potter still have the same draw with kids today, or is it an IP that will just move along with its original audience as they age? Star Wars sort of stayed with the original audience until the prequels and clone wars cartoons drew in some new fans, for instance.

    NFL 2020 Season: Gravy Edition!

TBH it’s smart, especially when older. Your ability to play is going to be directly contingent on how fucked up your body is. People retire from the NFL in their late 20s/early 30s because of the toll it takes

Jedi Fallen Order (By Respawn Entertainment)

Would actually fit perfectly with a theme like The Mandalorian: You're in a Bounty Hunter Guild, get missions, use mission rewards to buy better shit + get drops during your missions.

To be fair, the Adventures of Amos and Peaches were the best parts of book 5

Nah. I take him at his word that he won't retire until he thinks he sucks. He is extremely competitive, his family seems happy being down in the Sunshine State, and for the first time in years, he actually has a large variety of offensive weapons at his disposal.

She couldn't hear the message when she was back there, so she had to try to time it out and fuck with the transmitter at extremely specific times to adjust the message to get the desired result.

    The Expanse

Yup. When they setup the ship to act as a trap, they basically stripped the ship of almost anything non-essential so it wouldn't be wasted. The only reason that pressure suit was even there was because it was busted (that is why she couldn't stay in that area long...her CO2 scrubber wasn't...

    American Gods

Right. It's thoughtform. FFXIV uses the same idea for primals: The primal is ultimately shaped by the ideas/beliefs of the believers and what they -think- the primal should be, even if it isn't actually an accurate representation.

    WandaVision

Right, that is implying old sitcoms were actually funny to begin with lol Although I did laugh at that part where the wife asks if the earrings make her look fat and the lights go out and the husband is like "thank god"

    WandaVision

Entire shows dropping at once that use serialized storytelling is dead. People got spoiled, but it makes poor economic sense to continue that model. If you can’t stand the 1 episode per week model, then just watch it later and stop bitching that chapter 1 of a 9 chapter book doesn’t make sense

    WandaVision

As I predicted in my previous posts, it is following an established storytelling format. Following that formula, next 3 episodes will probably focus more on SWORD and them trying to get through to Wanda, while at the same time Vision starts to understand more about what is happening and what is...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

The game had limited sub jobs forever ago and they dumped them, I doubt they would return to them. Plus it makes balance a lot harder.

    WandaVision

The commercials have had 2 Hydras in a row, although I suspect that it will still end up being Mephisto as the big bad, although I do wonder how they will handle his origin? Maybe he will turn out to be Hydra after all and this is a big plan to create new powered individuals?

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

True, although the game did give some hints about chemist, though. During the MSQ, that little cat girl talks about wanting to become a WoL, but they use potions to heal people. Guess we will find out in 2 weeks

    The Mandalorian

I think she has a lot of misguided/dumb views, but the cancel culture bullshit surrounding it is fucking stupid. It's like a SJW version of the McCarthy communist witch hunts. I have noticed she has been much quieter on Twitter in terms of expressing those views lately, so I suspect she has...

The production value in the trailer anyways looks better than a standard CW show. The setup looks interesting.

Ya, if you go back and watch some old episodes of stuff like I Love Lucy or Bewitched from the black&white era, they really do have the flavor down pat.

    The Expanse

It's not too hard to get through the events of book 6 from a show perspective I don't think. Book 5 and 6 are basically the "same book" split into two, so you front load with setup/introducing characters, then in the 2nd half you move towards resolving the setup.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Chemist_(job) Most people in the West probably remember them from FFT, where they basically threw healing items at people and had a gun as a weapon. They've had the class in other FF games where mixing shit to create more powerful effects was a thing...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Ya healer is almost 100% guaranteed as a new class. Biggest challenge for them is what can they do to make it feel unique. Astrologian got simplified and that upset some people. I worry that if they add chemist, any mixing stuff might get dumbed down.

You can tell the age of a poster by how triggered they get by how old TV used to be lol

Ya, Alphi and Ali getting new classes that fit their archetypes would probably make sense. Magical DPS (Alisae) and healer (Alphi).

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Feb 5th at 830 pm est/ 530 pst is the announcement live stream date. Expected to be the expansion reveal and presumably at least 1 of the new classes (chemist is my bet).

    The Expanse

In the books you can hear her thought process on the engineering tricks she pulls on the ship. I thought they did a good job in the show at helping the audience understand what she was doing

You couldn’t without cutting a lot. They seemed to have dropped an entire thing with Alex and Bobbie at the moment, or maybe they are just deferring it

They’re being faithful to the books for the most part. All this buildup comes into play later through book 6.

GTA RP can be fun, but one thing that is nice about games like Rust is you can create structures/etc and you can sort of customize the content.

    Chuck

Considering they were the core of the show, it felt kind of bullshit to basically erase years of that development and vaguely hint that she remembers tiny bits, maybe, but she may never remember everything. Makes me wonder if they perhaps had plans to later address that but it never materialized

    Battlefield V

The bigger problem is they added grinding to vehicles to unlock shit. One of the reasons I eventually abandoned BF5 is I was late to the game, so it was nearly impossible to level up a plane. You either got destroyed in seconds by fully upgrades enemy planes, or you got 1 shot by those...

    Battlefield V

Ya, at least in BF1942, not everyone was running around with fucking ARs or had portal AA guns that could 1 shot a plane. Being a good tank driver or plane pilot meant you could do some serious damage. Vehicles were always the main draw in BF series to me, although BF3 started the whole "lol...
