All my SM runs have been AoE, whether in a melee group or pulling for a mage group. Even in Cathedral it’s the way to go. Just get 3-5 mobs at a time though, not 12-15.

No, the joy is actually driving something with emotion, feel, character, and a number of other intangibles. EVs provide none of those things and are boring as fuck to "drive". Going fast in a straight line from a stop light isn't what sports cars are for and it isn't their appeal.
