I honestly can't remember. I know one time I found one of those key areas before I had the quest and looked all over and restarted the level a few times but then realized I had to go do the precursor quest and then go to that dungeon. I hate when that happens.

It doesn't cover the whole FOV. It's been described as like a scuba mask. The human FOV is so large that totally covering it isn't worth it. Another problem is that a wide FOV rendering of a scene gets really fucky after 100 degrees. There's another hmd I can't remember the name of that goes up...

My recommendation is to use the nexus mod manager for everything. If you find some loose files manually create a mod in the nexus mod manager and install/uninstall with it. I'm not aware of any good mods being on the steam workshop that aren't on nexus.
