Casters definitely start going to shit during the late 65 era and it just gets worse at 70 and is just meleequest at that point. It gets a bit better at 75 but doesn't really get good until 80-85.
Doctors have had huge impact throughout the history of the league. How different is the NFL and even D1 football if Miami's doctor gives the good word and Miami picks up Brees instead of Culpepper?
I mean rookie QBs have played in season 1 plenty in the past too. Marino and Elway both started more than half of their rookie seasons, Peyton Manning obviously played his whole rookie season, there's lots and lots of other examples.
again, thinking he's going to suck if he plays starting with game 1 and thinking that the 49ers will be literally the worst team in the league are two different things.
Well, my take was that the idea of Lance starting just default makes SF the first pick in the 2022 draft which is dumb as fuck. He would almost for sure struggle, but if you don't think that roster is good enough to win some random games even if he's a shitshow that just means you're dumb...
Yeah even if Lance starts day 1, that roster has to carry them to at least 3-4 wins even if he's a shitshow. Some team is going to be a tire fire and win 1 or 2 games to get pick 1.
I started rereading the main books a few years ago and they really haven't aged particularly well. I do definitely see why I thought it was the pinnacle of badass when I was like 12 or 13 though.
Wonder what the trade particulars are. wonder if it's jets 2 and some later stuff, or if it's their 2022 1st which has a good chance of being a lot higher than 14.
think i'd have rather had Miami pick Sewell with Chase and Pitts off the board, but Waddle over Smith seems good since I think you kind of need to warp your offense around Smith more. But this taking dudes off severe injuries with high first round picks every draft seems kind of risky. My guys...
