I've yet to see an alternative to the trinity system that actually works. GW2 was an aggro jumping mess that just wasn't fun. I remain extremely skeptical that SoE will find a solution.

Are open beta characters carrying over to live? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

^ Solo content is terrible and not on the level of other MMO's. Grouping is the only fun way to play the game, the dungeons and group combat interactions are much better than anything that's out there. The first major dungeons are around lvl 15 I think, Khegor's End for example is good.

I was very surprised Puppey never picked Funn1k's clinkz in the grand final since Bulldog had Prophet almost every game. Funn1k always plays better when he has very aggressive heroes.

Actually it was much better if you used things like Dotacash, once your elo hit around 1500-1600 most games were fairly even. MM in Dota 2 is horrendous.

That's because you probably have a terrible elo and in the Normal bracket. Most VH games are a shot in the dark, sometimes you get good teammates and sometimes it's literally unplayable.

It's a shame Kaipi aren't going to TI3, they have been playing really well this past month or two. What's even more impressive are their strats, no other team drafts like them. Arteezy is also proving himself to be one of the best new players in the scene.

Well first off, just because something is more complex doesn't mean it's any better/worse. Secondly, what I meant was can you honestly remember more than a couple guitar rhythm's from Lateralus? Aenima has an amazing guitar hook in virtually every song. So yes, Lateralus sounds very mediocre...

Lateralus is overrated, a lot of filler on that album... they tried to hide mediocre song writing by having longer songs. Aenima is their masterpiece. But after 10,000 days I can't really get hyped for this.

Melee support with no disable doesn't really fit into the current meta. Only if you were sure you the other team wasn't going for an offensive tri-lane and got him levels relatively fast... then maybe.

Looks like art for a f2p asian MMO.

Tales of Phantasia PS1 remake, there's an english patch that is really well done. The game is actually kind of difficult in and old school kind of way.

Except Merlini actually has a huge Dota 1 background and EternalEnvy put together a really really good team... he just isn't a great play caller which is why he now plays the carry role with Kaipi.

I like Merlini when he casts since he usually has good insight to what's going on as compared to his co-host. But he gets so mad when pubbing... it's hilarious. He raged on Select in a pub once and made him leave their potential team at the time.

I just don't care about the single player FF games anymore, to me they are aesthetically empty. It's the same emo-faced characters with completely ridiculous stories. 9 was the last time they at least tried to do something different with the art direction, but even that game ran out of steam...

I couldn't even finish the game when I first got it way back in the day. The junction system was simply terrible, the story was nonsensical and overly melodramatic, the characters were extremely annoying, and I remember some other RPG came out around that time that was much better.

Can't believe Na'vi won game 2 against Loda's cancer lancer who was fully farmed. Hvost had 3-4 critical plays on AM in the last 10m.

That guy really needs to lower his mouse sensitivity. The game itself isn't too surprising, standard MMO with a few elder scrolls touches.

It plays like WoW now with a less spammy combat system. It all depends on how good the end game is and how tedious leveling other jobs is.

I'm really starting to hate these weekend beta tests games are doing now. There's no reason to play phase 1 or 2 if you were in alpha, one starting area and three classes isn't enough.

I think we're going to start seeing more Ogre Magi since he is really good at tri-laning. He's super tanky and has a great set up stun, in certain situations he's better than someone like Shadow Demon.
