Changing the detected gender of your voice is a completely different adjustment than just changing your pitch. You can change your pitch and make it a habit. And knowing that people were genuinely annoyed with the pitch of your voice would help guide you to that.

It is for profitability of the website. For community building? well it depends on which developers and which games. There would be nothing gained by TESO devs coming in here and engaging with us because they aren't able or willing to make the changes necessary to appease us. But EQN devs...

    Dark Souls 2

It's fine as long as you use mods to fix it. It's actually better on PC than it is on console. I played through the game with mouse/kb without issue. If you are ok with a gamepad that'd probably be more natural. For me, using a joystick to look around is slow an laborious.

What's funny is that the pitch of ones voice is easily changeable and he'd be doing a favor by telling her 'look your voice irritates me because it's too high pitched. Get that shit taken care of."

Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls

I'm having a lot of fun. Part of my problem is finding a playstyle that is both fun and very effective. The tempest rush shit is kind of boring but only works solo. It got a lot better when I swapped in seven sided strike. For an easy-mode button that requires moderate setup it's actually pretty...

Nah, it's much more effective for administrators to monitor the moderators and act when they start shilling rather than trying to prevent it before it happens. The problem is that administrators generally prefer communities to be positive, because that helps attract developer involvement and...

I don't view the EQN subreddit but when it was announced we all piled in and made negative posts about it. The only people who got banned or had their shit removed were people who broke the very reasonable rules of not having personal attacks against others. Until someone shows me proof that...

Only way it's similar to m&b is if it has the same style mounted combat. Which is probably impossible. You can't just throw mounted combat in a game and make these loose comparisons to M&B!!! (I'm still burned over Skyrims' worthless mounted combat).

First I'm mostly concerned about AAA games (Even though I play a ton of indie games we're talking market acceptance here). Second I would argue that games that run on opengl but not on any PC don't support opengl in the perspective we're referencing. If you're telling me that I can run Red Dead...

I've only created some dx and opengl applications, what have you built for opengl and dx or ported from dx to opengl?
  24. Tuco

    SteamOS

I hope you're right but I disagree with your prediction. If Steambox can't play today's dx games it's going to be monumentally difficult for it to accrue a userbase and if it has no userbase then developers won't switch to opengl just for it.

Haha this would be good. I feel like this is a bad plan though given how much effort they are going through to distance themselves from Walt. Plus it'd be hard to imagine they'd keep to the money laundering post-Walt's death. Even if Skylar had incriminating shit against them it'd be iffy...

Do you have a list of games built in dx vs opengl for this year? My understanding was that most games use dx. The first two games I looked up, BF4 and CoD:Black Ops2 use dx.

    SteamOS

You're right, the big question is whether or not the steambox can run current games. Maybe Valve can push hard enough and make a convincing case to developers to publish on their platform but that'll be a very tough sell. And selling people on steambox without a huge library for it is going to...
