Ideally after a few years of Velious they will relaunch the server and maintain the original timeline with all the various p99 bugs etc fixed. The perfect classic launch so to speak. P99 as it stands now is actually a beta right?

I'm surprised so many people here are opposed to item loot. I enjoyed the old one item, no bags no weapons system. Then those dedicated pvp guilds can get raid loot without raiding.

Yeah, I'm actually really busy with work and training these days. I just ran my first 24 hour ultra marathon actually (89 miles). Nitsude is the boss these days. I've really been getting the itch to go back though.

I'm starting to wonder if preformed guilds aren't the way to go. It almost seems like you're better off just grinding 20 hours a day for the first month, getting max level and getting the Nagafen server first with like 10 other random 45-50's and then forming a guild. Then the top levelers...

They usually do like 7 free days with the progression server launch to attract more players. That's enough time to get all the server firsts and then sell your account for $400.

Why not just curb stomp Nihilum and then once you're the top force on the server you can foster the sort of community you'd like to see. I'm not trolling here btw.

Reading the forums for blue, it looks like FE/IB are starting to do pretty well in the raid scene again. It's good to see. Any of you P99 players know if this is just a temporary fluke or if TMO is on the way out?

Do you happen to have a list of the events themselves? I only recall the skeletons in Qeynos Hills and the werewolves in the Commonlands.

It's different at every command but generally ait is an extension of basic training. Some places have pretty strict rules with curfews and a maximum distance you can travel from base etc.

Who cares what particular flavor of EQ people enjoy? The point is and always has been fun, if it's providing that to it's player-base then that's a successful and high quality server.

PvP DAoC, back when like ten of us from my guild would wake up at like 5am and start taking keeps when hardly anyone else on our server was awake. PvE Racing in EQ is literally one of the most exciting experiences. The launch night for Kunark on Vulak was extremely fun in retrospect...

Switching the puller setting on and off can make mercs stupid sometimes.

I played EQ in first person all the way up until Rift launched. I played that for like 3 months and could never play EQ w/o third person again.
